MASON COUNTY, MI — A Mason County judge has dismissed the murder charge against Sean Phillips, the Victory Township man accused of killing his infant daughter known to many as “Baby Kate” back in 2011. The decision was released by the office of District Court Judge Peter J. Wadel early Monday morning, Sept. 15, nearly a year after Phillips was charged with open murder of his daughter, Katherine “Baby Kate” Phillips who disappeared in Mason County on June 29, 2011.
