The Pontotoc County District Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Department requested OSBI to investigate when authorities discovered Joshua Ron Summers, 32, was communicating to another inmate about having sex with a child.

OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children, Computer Crimes, and Child Abuse Response Team Agents, along with Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant on Summers’ home on May 26, 2010.  Agents found numerous images of child porn on a computer and arrested Summers. The four-time felon pleaded guilty today (9/28/10) and accepted a plea of two life sentences.  His former convictions include Solicitation of a Minor to Make Obscene Material, Lewd Molestation of a Child Under 16, and 2^nd Degree Rape.
