Detroit, MI – Karonne Ivey’s three year-old daughter complained several times that her “tootie” hurt and expressed that something of a sexual nature had happened to her. Ivey says that what her daughter admitted was “shocking to me” and that she could not be lying. After checking her daughter at home, Ivey later took her to the emergency room of a children’s hospital for an examination. When it comes to sexual abuse, what are the signs parents should look for?
