Grandma Arrested For Abusing 2-YO Toddler
CHULA VISTA, Calif. — A two-and-a-half-year old toddler was slammed into the pavement by his grandmother, who then picked him up and slapped him several times in the parking lot of a convenience store, police alleged. Several witnesses called Chula Vista police Saturday afternoon to report that they saw a woman in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven lose control after she and her grandson got off a bus and the youngster ran from her in the lot. Witnesses said the woman picked up the child, threw him down on the ground, then picked him up and slapped him several times, Lt. Dan Hardman said.
