Google develops tagging system to find and delete vile child abuse images from the web
Web giant Google is to develop a global database of child abuse images to make it easier to delete them from the internet. Experts are developing technology similar to hashtags which digitally mark vile images found online. The firm is also offering more than $1 million to independent software developers to produce tools to combat child porn, after being stung by criticism that it was not doing enough to stem the tide of internet filth.
