Father Arrested in 15-MO Son’s Death
Mark Christopher Nichols, 21, is being held in the Wagoner County jail. His bail has not been set. Maverick Nichols died of blunt force trauma of the head according to a preliminary finding from the state Medical Examiner’s Office, Wagoner County Assistant District Attorney Jack Thorp said. The child had skull fractures to the back of the head and a broken rib, the prosecutor said. Authorities believe they are “crushing” type injuries, not those associated with a short fall.
