NEW DELHI: Delhi government on Monday approved a comprehensive compensation scheme for victims of rape, acid attacks, human trafficking, child abuse and kidnapping. It has decided to set aside Rs 15 crore, to begin with, for the scheme that was formulated by the Union home ministry. According to the provisions of the scheme a rape victim will get compensation of Rs 2-3 lakh within two months of the crime.
