Dead Baby Found in Gym Bag
Jacksonville, FL – On October 5, 21-year-old Leendra Dasher called the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department to report her 15-month-old daughter missing. Dasher told police she had last laid eyes on her baby when she put her to bed at about 11:00 p.m., and that she and the child had been alone in the apartment. She stated that she was a light sleeper and had not been awakened by any strange sounds that evening. Also, two door locks, one only accessible from inside the home, had been locked since 3:00 p.m. Shortly after arriving at Dasher’s apartment, police found the child inside Dasher’s locked vehicle in the parking lot – she had been stuffed into a nylon Puma gym bag.
