Daycare operator hit child with horse riding crop
BUCYRUS, Kansas – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a Miami County daycare facility an Emergency Order of Suspension after its operator admitted to disciplining a child with a horse riding crop.
According to the emergency order, issued July 13, Shirley Joyce McClellan admitted using the crop to discipline at least one child and reported that she has swatted children with her hand and threatens them with getting a stick as form of punishment.

This woman needs more than a suspension. She’s admitting to having hit a child with a horse crop and to hitting other children with her hand.
She should be immediately closed down with do possibility of working with children again. Just like a sex offender, they should have to register with the state and be accountable for their actions from now on.
