HARTFORD, ILL—The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has charged 24-year-old Matthew Fields, of Hartford, Illinois with Aggravated Battery of a Child. Authorities said the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services reported that a mother of a nine week old child took the child to an Alton area hospital on October 10 around 7 p.m., due to the child not acting normal.
