Escanaba couple pleads guilty in child torture case
Shackled and handcuffed, 46-year-old Susan Marie Bardo and 47-year-old Carl James Pellinen entered the Delta County Circuit courtroom Thursday to enter pleas stemming from the confinement and torture of Bardo’s teenage son. Susan Bardo pled guilty to Child Abuse in the First Degree and she pled guilty to Torture. In a separate appearance on Thursday, Carl Pellinen pled no contest to Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree, and he also pled guilty to Child Abuse in the First Degree. READ MORE HERE
