Couple charged with murder of 5-year-old daughter

Guadalupe Quintero, 23, charged with murdering her own  daughter by abuse.

April 27, 2010-April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month, which means that volunteers, organizations, and community activists are ramping up their education in an effort to prevent the awful reality of child abuse.

It was too late for Oleander Labier, a 5-year-old girl from Gresham, a city right outside of Portland. Police were called to the home of Guadalupe Quintero and Christopher A. Rosillo on Tuesday. They found Oleander unconscious and not breathing. EMTs took her to Portland Adventist Medical Center, but the girl did not make it. She was pronounced dead on arrival.
