Sexual predator escapes from local halfway house, remains at large
EAST ST. LOUIS, Illinois – A convicted sexual predator is missing after leaving a halfway house last week, the Illinois Department of Corrections said Tuesday. Frederick Buettner, 40 years old, went missing July 8 from a halfway house in East St. Louis. He’d been living there since May 24. Buettner had been wearing an ankle monitoring device, but authorities believe he was able to remove it without setting off its alarm. READ MORE HERE
