EVERETT, Washington — An Everett man with a previous conviction for raping and killing a 6-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly having and distributing photos of child rape, U.S. attorneys announced Friday. Federal prosecutors say Andrew Evich, 67, had been posing online as a 13-year-old boy looking for sexually explicit images of children. Prosecutors allege Evich was using a peer-to-peer file sharing computer program to receive and distribute sexually explicit images of young boys being molested or raped. Evich is a registered sex offender stemming from a 1974 conviction for raping and murdering a 6-year-old boy in Whatcom County. He was sent back to prison in 1985 for having sexual contact with a 15-year-old. Evich was given a third prison sentence in 1998 on charges of possessing child pornography. READ MORE HERE
