~ DID YOU KNOW? ~
By the time you finish reading this, 15 children will have been abused; In the next five minutes, 30 more; Within the next hour, 360 more; And by tonight, close to 8,000+ children will have suffered from abuse, 5 of which will die. Child abuse has increased 134% since 1980 and is now considered a worldwide epidemic. The high jump in child abuse deaths and the shocking increase in statistics highlights the frightening lack of public knowledge.

  2. Dr Leonard B Smith Says:

    Dear Sirs:
The incidence of early childhood caries(decay) is rising throughout North America to the point where the CDC has stated dental decay in children under 5 is the most common chronic infectious disease in this age group.28% of all children have some form of decay while 23% of those NEVER get treatment. Those in this group suffer from some form s of malnutrition, sleep deprivation, chronic pain(tooth ache) and chronic infection(draining abscesses)This situation can last for months or years!!This condition is torture as some of these children have suffered for so long that their brains think pain is a normal state!
IS THIS NOT NEGELCT AND ABUSE????It is time to recognize it as such and have all those workers who deal with these children and their families recognize it .
If it is understood that this infectiious disease is about more than just BABY TEETH and that the lifelong ramifications to those victims are serious !
    PREVENTION IS THE BEST TREATMENT!
