Toddler, Savannah Cross, death ruled murder by Phoenix medical examiner
Medical examiners said a 2-year-old girl who died a year ago was murdered while she was in the care of a Phoenix day care. The final medical report released Thursday in the December 2012 death of Savannah Cross, who was weeks away from her third birthday, said the cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries, acute methamphetamine exposure and dehydration. Ryan Alan Reed, 27, was re-arrested in November after new forensic details emerged showing he molested the girl, according to authorities. Reed and Allison Ann Clement, 28, were living together and ran the home day care at 48th Street and Southern Avenue for five months.
