Rock Island, IL, March 16, 2011 – The Child Abuse Council is hosting its annual conference, “Children Exposed to Violence” on Thursday, March 31, at the Isle of Capri Conference Center, Bettendorf. Child abuse survivor, author and children’s advocate Erin Merryn will be this year’s keynote speaker. Erin impacted Oprah and a national audience on Oct. 6 when she discussed her push for laws to help fellow sex abuse victims. This is Erin’s first trip to the Quad Cities.
