They’re difficult to catch, but online sex predators pose a very real danger – about 70 percent admit, when apprehended, to ‘hands-on’rimes against children
CANYON COUNTY – Child pornography isn’t new, but between the internet and inexpensive, readily available recording equipment, it’s easier than ever for offenders to produce and distribute. Tracking, apprehending and prosecuting those who view child pornography is a complicated and, at times, overwhelming process. Law enforcement officials aren’t resting on their laurels, however – the Idaho’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force (ICAC) aggressively devises new ways to catch predators in the act.
