Child abuse summit planned
Internet crimes against children will be the subject of SOS’ first Child Abuse Prevention Summit scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 15 in the Flint Hills Technical College.
Sgt. Chet Pinkston of the Wichita Missing and Exploited Children Unit and the Emporia Area Multi-Disciplinary Team will be the presenters for the summit.
Pinkson, with 20 years of law-enforcement experience, also is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He will provide an overview of both organizations, as well as internet safety and social media.
