Police believe a 78-year-old man shot dead his daughter, 39, and 11-year-old granddaughter in a tragic murder-suicide at their home in Seattle, Washington on Monday. The bodies of grandfather Honorario Yango, his daughter Christine Dela Isla and granddaughter Anahlia Cowherd were found by local police around 8:15pm after the suspected shooter’s 10-year-old grandson called 911. While police have not yet released a motive in the murder-suicide, Anahlia’s personal blog tells the shocking story of how she was allegedly sexually-abused by her grandfather for years and how he threatened to kill her just hours before her death.

A father with a history of domestic abuse has been arrested on suspicion of killing his two-month-old son who was found beaten to death with bite marks covering his body. Emery Jenkins, who turns 38 today, was arrested after the lifeless body of his son, Joseph, was found at the family home in Deer River, Minnesota on October 16. A woman whose severely disabled son died after alcohol was put in his IV was released from jail Tuesday after a judge set bail, saying prosecutors couldn’t prove she intended to kill the child. Judge Robert Bent said prosecutors have ‘a viable manslaughter case’ against Melissa Robitille in the August 22 death of 13-year-old Isaac Robitille, but not a second-degree murder case. Intent is necessary for a second-degree murder charge. Robitille’s attorney, Robert Sussman, said she was released Tuesday afternoon, hours after Bent set her $25,000 unsecured bail.

SANTA FE, Texas — An accused child killer was set free after the county’s medical examiner misplaced the evidence needed to convict her, prosecutors said. In March 2013, Taylor Moore, 4, was critically injured while staying with her father and his girlfriend, Laura Kolb, 38, in their apartment here. Taylor’s dad, Kevin Moore, and Kolb had had an argument, police said.

A foster father who confessed to multiple instances of abuse against his disabled foster child is set to spend years behind bars. Dr. Dennis Sullivan faces a prison sentence of 43 months which was handed down on Friday. The 51-year-old Benedict, Minnesota resident earlier entered a guilty plea on August 25 for attempted first-degree assault, according to the media outlet. On that day, Sullivan reportedly confessed to covering his 10-year-old foster son’s mouth with his hand on June 17 after jamming a latex glove in his mouth.

NORTH CAROLINA – On Monday night, in Lumberton, N.C. a homeowner’s worst nightmare came true. According to the Robeson Sheriff’s Office, an innocent knock at the door turned into a gun battle with one dead. Carolina Live, citing the Roberson Sheriff’s Office, said around 10 p.m. an unknown man knocked on the door of a home along Yedda Road. The man reportedly told the homeowner his car was having mechanical problems, and he needed water. Just as this was happening, according to Carolina Live, two other men, dressed in black with ski masks and gloves busted through the door and made their way inside. Once the suspects made their way in, it was soon apparent they weren’t just there for money.

WAFF said Matthew Ayers, 42, and Patricia Ayers, 34, are both responsible for the sexual abuse of a child in their custody and take pictures of the behavior to manufacture the child porn. U.S. District Judge L. Scott Coogler said, “I have been on the bench since 1998, and this is the worst case I have personally dealt with, including murders. You robbed this child of her childhood and her soul, and a maximum sentence is the only sentence appropriate.”

A registered sex offender is charged with sexual assault and super-aggravated sexual assault of a child after raping a teen and a toddler, infecting them both with HIV, police say. David R. Wilson, 33, is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and a two-year-old girl and infecting them with various sexually transmitted diseases including HIV, herpes, and chlamydia. The enhanced charge of super-aggravated sexual assault of a child is due to the age of the younger victim, who was just 23 months old at the time of the alleged abuse.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – Remains found nearly a week ago in a rural area of Virginia are those of a university student who disappeared last month, authorities said Friday, ending a search by thousands that took weeks and left the campus and community on edge. University of Virginia sophomore Hannah Graham, 18, disappeared Sept. 13 after a night out with friends. The remains were found Oct. 18 about 12 miles from the Charlottesville campus, in a heavily wooded area of Albemarle County that is home to rolling hills and horse farms.

On Thursday, TMZ posted a cuddly photo of Shannon, 35, and McDaniel, who was convicted of aggravated child molestation and imprisoned in 2004. Allegedly the 8-year-old victim was related to Shannon’s family.

MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON – Two students are dead and four more are injured after a school shooting in Washington state. Gunman Jaylen Fryberg is dead, police have confirmed. He committed suicide after opening fire inside the cafeteria around 10:45 a.m. at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. He is believed to be the only suspect in the shooting and used a Beretta .40-caliber handgun, federal law enforcement said.

GLENDALE, Arizona – A 29-year-old man is accused of child abuse after the death of a 2-year-old boy in Glendale. The case began in January when Glendale police and fire personnel responded to a call of an unresponsive child at an apartment complex near 51st and Northern avenues. The child was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A doctor who examined the child noted several areas of bruising, according to court documents.

ATLANTA, GA — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that 18 people were arrested on Wednesday in a child pornography bust. GBI officials said that the investigation began in July and focused on people sharing child pornography on the Internet. A total of 595 digital devices were taken in the investigation, and all the individuals were charged with computer pornography and child exploitation.
