VOLUSIA COUNTY, Florida – A florida mom is behind bars after police say she tried to kill her two young children and herself with toilet cleaner. A Christmas wreath hangs outside the front door where inside, Port Orange Police say 29-year-old Amelia West tried to kill herself and her two young children by forcing them to drink toilet bowl cleaner. Neighbor Catherine Gardner is stunned. “I have children I have grandchildren I would say she was out of her mind. She needed help and she should have asked for help.” Police responded to this home on Timber Trail in Port Orange around 10:30 Saturday morning.

WASHINGTON – D.C. police are investigating the murder of a 1-month-old child in Southeast. According to a statement, police said officers responded to a home in the 1700 block of Trenton Place this past Wednesday, Oct. 29, just after 9:30 a.m. for a report of an unconscious child. Officers discovered an unconscious baby boy suffering from injuries. The baby was transported to the hospital, but died there shortly after.

SAN DIEGO — Jose Lopez was awarded a $13.5 million judgment Wednesday from the head of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church for alleged sexual abuse by Gonzalo Campos of the Linda Vista Spanish Congregation and Playa Pacifica in Pacific Beach. Lopez, 36, claims that the abuse began around 1986, when his mother enrolled him at age 7 in bible study classes with Campos. “I just kept it bottled up inside,” Lopez said. “I never told anybody. I never dealt with it.”

An 18-year-old mother has been arrested after a sickening photo of her crying 14-month-old son hanging from a hook by his shirt was posted on Facebook. Alexis Breeden from Spotsylvania County, Virginia, took the disturbing image of the youngster suspended from a door frame with what appears to be a top pulled around his neck. The picture was believed to have been put on Facebook by the boy’s father in retaliation after he had an argument with Breeden.

A man has been charged with pedophilia offences in the US after Australian officials found disturbing images on the phone of a passenger who was flying out of Sydney airport. Airport staff found pictures of a 10-year-old boy being abused in Arizona alongside online chat messages – and immediately alerted the Phoenix Police Department. US police then swooped on an apartment belonging to Edwin Collison, 35, and charged him with a series of child sex abuse offences.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. — Police in New Mexico are searching for a missing 10-year-old girl who was last seen at her suburban Albuquerque home Wednesday night. Alexandra Greenwall was last seen when her mother put her to bed Wednesday night around 10 p.m. When she woke up, the child was gone. The station reports it appears the girl apparently changed out of her pajamas during the night, stuffed clothes in a backpack and left through the family’s back door.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local man pleaded guilty Friday to possessing more than five million images of child pornography on his computer, announced U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson, Southern District of Texas. This investigation was conducted by the Corpus Christi Police Department-Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with assistance from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

A murder-suicide is suspected after a mother and her five-year-old daughter were found dead in their Brockville, Ont., apartment on Thursday. Family and neighbors have identified the mother as Monica Willemsen, 36, and the daughter as Katrina. The girl’s school called police when she was absent from class without warning on Thursday morning, Brockville police said.

A Clark County jury has found former Beaverton, Ore., police Officer Christopher Warren guilty of raping a 5-year-old girl at his central Vancouver home. Warren, 34, did not show emotion Friday during the reading of the verdict on a charge of first-degree child rape. His wife and other family members and friends were in the courtroom’s public gallery. Superior Court Judge Barbara Johnson remanded him into the custody of the Clark County Jail. A corrections officer escorted him out of the courthouse. The jurors reached the unanimous verdict after about 6½ hours of deliberation. Testimony started early Tuesday and concluded at the close of the business day Thursday.

Mike Tyson has revealed he was sexually abused by a stranger when he was a child growing up in Brooklyn. The 48-year-old said during a radio interview on Wednesday that the molestation took place when he was seven. ‘He snatched me off the street,’ the boxing legend said during a visit to SiriusXM’s Opie Radio show. ‘I was a little kid…[he was an] old man.’

A former teacher is facing a 250-year jail sentence after he admitted to abusing and photographing at least 29 pupils as young as six at his home and on school trips for four years. Matthew Graziotti, 43, met his victims while working as an elementary school teacher, a youth sports coach, a youth pastor and director of a summer camp in South Daytona, Florida. FBI agents found more than 8,700 explicit images in one of numerous files titled ‘Privately Known’ on his computer, taken between 2010 and 2014.

A pediatrician has admitted a string of sex offences against young boys including sexual activity with a child and possessing more than a million indecent images. Raza Laskar, 32, of Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, is charged with 31 offences committed against 12 boys after he was caught by police with a cache of vile child pornography. Detectives raided his home after 1,600 files suspected to contain indecent photographs of children were made available on a file sharing site between Christmas Day last year and January 27.

DETROIT, Michigan – A Detroit teen is in the hospital, fighting to live, after a vicious attack at an area school. Willie Wallace, 16, a student at the private Allen Academy, was jumped Wednesday. An attack that caused a seizure, fractured skull, bleeding in his brain, and damage to his chin, cheek and neck, according to family. His mother told 7 Action News exclusively, he is sedated at Henry Ford Hospital, and is unable to speak.
