Betrayal destroys the foundation of trust. It’s a shame when innocent people are betrayed and hurt by people they once loved and trusted. NORTH CAROLINA – A teen accused of killing three children with a machete faced a judge this afternoon in Craven County. Eh Lar Doh Htoo was charged with three counts of murder for the deaths of the 1, 5 and 12 year old brothers, while he is facing assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury for injuries to their mother. Htoo is a Burmese refugee, as were the victims. District Attorney Scott Thomas said the first appearance was delayed from this morning as they worked to get a translator that speaks the Karen dialect of Burmese. They received the okay to use an interpreter via a phone connection.

FLORIDA – A grandmother has been arrested following horrific allegations of abuse. Linda Brantly of Orange County, Florida has been accused of chaining her three elementary school-aged children to her washing machine with dog collars and forcing them to sleep on the floor. She would also make the children to plank or raise their hands in the air for extended periods of time as punishment. Even worse, these allegations were discovered as the three children were being interviewed about possible sexual abuse they had suffered at the hands of a family member.

The teenagers would get together before school and at lunch to talk about a group project: the murder of a classmate, said police in Tucson, Arizona. But the plot fell apart when another teenager informed on them, police said. The five students at Flowing Wells High were charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, said police spokesman Sgt. Pete Dugan.

LONG BEACH, California — Police released new evidence in the case of a 3-week-old baby found dead in a dumpster after her family members were shot in their Long Beach home in January. The evidence includes surveillance video and sketches of suspects believed to be involved in the death of Eliza Delacruz. In the surveillance footage, Eliza and her mother are seen getting off a bus at Del Amo Boulevard at Long Beach Boulevard on Jan. 3 around 4:15 p.m.

He had a job where he helped lead young men and women but Michigan police say he was hiding a deep, disturbing secret. 52-year-old David Huntley was arrested earlier this month on child pornography charges. The former substitute teacher in Monroe reportedly admitted his deep, dark, and sick secrets to police last week. On Wednesday, we learned more about the man and how he was arrested. Investigators said on Friday that they discovered between 300,000 and 400,000 pictures of child pornography and that was only the beginning. It’s what lead Lt. Tony Cuevas to call it “one of the largest child pornography collections in Michigan’s history.”

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for 13-year-old Mikayla Champion, who was last seen Thursday at around 10 p.m. at W. 7 Mile Road and Telegraph Road at the BP gas station. She was seen at the gas station with an unknown man (pictured below) that she met online, authorities say. Champion left her home in the 22500 block of Frisbee Street shortly before she was seen at the gas station.

A police officer for the town of Oakland in west Orange County has been accused of sexually assaulting a 2-year-old girl at a Lakeland home.Joshua David Smith, 32, was arrested Wednesday evening, hours after admitting to the abuse in online messages with an undercover FBI agent, according to Smith’s arrest report.

An Ohio mother is accused of decapitating her 3-month-old baby girl with a chef’s knife on Monday, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said at a press conference Tuesday. Deasia Watkins, 20, is charged with aggravated murder for the death of her daughter, Janiyah Watkins. Deters told reporters his office expects to present the case to a grand jury early next week. He added that he doesn’t anticipate seeking a death penalty specification, noting the mother appeared to be suffering from serious mental illness.

A 911 call has been released in the case of a pregnant Colorado woman who police say had her unborn baby cut from her womb by a woman who allegedly posted a Craigslist ad for baby clothes. Police in Colorado say a pregnant woman was stabbed and had her fetus cut from her womb after answering a Craigslist ad posted by the suspect for baby clothes. Authorities responded to a home in Longmont on Wednesday after a woman was heard inside screaming for help. Inside the home, police say they found a 26-year-old pregnant woman suffering from stab wounds to her abdomen. The victim told police her fetus had been cut out of her womb.

BROCKTON, Massachusetts —A Brockton couple pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a child in Brockton Superior Court Monday afternoon. The couple, David and Kathy Oaks, faced 38 charges between them of child rape and sexual abuse, according to police. The charges stemmed from activity that police said happened between 2000 and 2008. David Oaks was sentenced Monday to 15 to 20 years in state prison. Upon release, he will be placed on probation for 10 years and be required to wear a GPS monitoring device.

MURFREESBORO, Tennessee – A woman accused of raping her children while living in Murfreesboro more than a decade ago was convicted six counts of child rape Friday afternoon. Angela Elizabeth Montgomery was found guilty on six counts of rape of a child. Montgomery was charged with raping her own two children multiple times when she lived in Rutherford County more than a decade ago. Montgomery’s bond was revoked and she was taken into custody. “It’s finally over and I can finally move on with my life,” child rape victim Alan Von Webb said as he left Judge Royce Taylor’s courtroom in tears.

MUSKEGON, Michigan — Raymond Michael Raye of Muskegon has been charged with first-degree child abuse, a potential life felony, for the severe scalding of his baby daughter in 2013. Raye, 25, was arraigned on that charge Monday, March 16. A warrant for his arrest was issued in September 2013, but he left the state and was only located Feb. 25 in Ohio, then extradited, according to Chief Assistant Muskegon County Prosecutor Timothy M. Maat.

A mother has revealed her horror after she discovered she married a paedophile – and let him look after her children. Mel Alford, of Exeter, Devon, said she only found out her husband Jonathan’s past when he appeared in court to admit grooming an underage girl for sex. The 37-year-old, who has three children, first met the man she knows as JR, in April 2012 through Facebook as she was friends with his older brother.
