BELOIT, Wis. – Let’s skip the fact that a 10-year-old was left in charge of caring for a toddler for a minute and get to why the kid was arrested. A mother brought her 23-month-old toddler to Beloit Memorial Hospital suffering brain damage and bruises all over their body. They were told that the child had fallen from a crib. But the injuries were not consistent, looking more like prolonged abuse, so the police were called. That’s when it was revealed that the person who had been caring for the victim for the last few weeks was a 10-year-old kid. The 10-year-old, who is not related to the victim, later confessed to investigators that they were responsible for the child’s brain bleeding and severe external injuries.

The public’s image of a predatory paedophile typically involves a middle-aged man, glued to the internet or walking the streets, intent on finding victims.

MT. JULIET, Tenn. – Mt. Juliet police have confirmed that a 4-year-old hospitalized last week in a case of suspected child abuse has died from her injuries.

Mt. Juliet Police Chief Andy Garrett did not verify what day she passed away or give any detail on the type of injuries she had.

The child was in the intensive care unit at the Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt since Thursday.

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. —
A baby boy that was found dead in a suitcase last week was born alive, Madison County Sheriff Toby Trowbridge said on Tuesday.

The newborn was found Friday afternoon in a garbage bag, wrapped in a blanket, inside the suitcase, behind the Smith Chapel Baptist Church in the 300 block of Livingston Vernon Road in Flora, the sheriff said.

A Rosenberg man received 48 years in prison on each of four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child after pleading guilty to the indictments last week in the 240th District Court.

Donny Chad Curry, 35, was sentenced to another 20 years in prison on two additional sexual assault of a child charges and an indecency with child charge, according to the district attorney’s office.

THE State Government has launched a review into a program for people who sexually assault their own children after a Casino man who entered the program escaped a prison sentence, despite admitting he sexually abused his young daughter 74 times.

However, the man, who cannot be named, will not go to jail for his crimes, with Attorney-General John Hatzistergos saying the man’s referral to the Cedar Cottage program cannot be appealed.

Houston police are searching for children who may have been victimized by a man charged with child pornography.

Edward Jorodge Gladney, 26, was charged last month with five counts of possession of child pornography.

LOUISIANA, Mo. — A 4-year-old girl missing for more than 24 hours after reportedly being abducted from her front yard in eastern Missouri has been found alive.

MONUMENT, Colo.—Investigators continue to search for a couple who had custody of a girl whose body was found in a vacant home near Colorado Springs.

The body of 9-year-old Genesis Sims was found May 14 in the crawl space of a vacant town house in Monument. Authorities confirmed her identity Tuesday.

OCEAN PINES, Md.- Ocean Pines police have arrested a 19-year-old woman accused of abusing a severely disabled child whom she was babysitting.

Carleigh Renee Kufchak, 19, of Bishopville, is charged with first- and second-degree child abuse, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Portland, OR – In last week’s update, I wrote that Kaine Horman took the child he has with Terri Horman and moved out of the house before filing for a divorce and a restraining order. Now we may know why. According to an article published by the Oregonian on Sunday, a landscaper who worked for Kyron’s family told detectives that Terri offered to pay him “a lot of money” to kill Kaine. The unnamed landscaper said Terri approached him with the murder-for-hire plot about six or seven months before Kyron disappeared.

Newark, NJ – Oquan Blake, 24, was arrested Thursday night and charged with the sexual assault and murder of his girlfriend’s 7-month-old daughter, Dalaysia Rhymer. According to authorities, the 21-year-old mother left Dalaysia in the care of her grandmother and Blake on June 26th so she could attend a Gay Pride festival. When the baby’s grandmother had a medical emergency and needed to be hospitalized, Blake was left alone with the infant. It didn’t take long for that baby to get on Blake’s nerves.

OKLAHOMA CITY Police were called tot he parking lot of a Buy 4 Less after people reported a man approaching people with small children and making lewd comments. One woman said 33-year-old Andre Lashun Holloway walked up to her and her 4-year-old daughter and said “You’re going to be in trouble when I rape your daughter.” She jumped in her car and called 911. Another family told police that Holloway asked them if he could rape their child.
