Time for a game of which is more disturbing — starring 26-year-old Michael Barham, of Buckeye. Barham was arrested yesterday after Phoenix police got word that he may have some kiddy-porn on his computer. After searching his home and computer, kiddy-porn was the least disturbing stuff cops dug up — as hard to fathom as that may be. The most disturbing of the many items found in Barham’s posession is probably a toss up between the “child rape” videos and the bestiality flicks, but we’ll get to those later.

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a convicted sex offender accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl. Edwin Alvarado, 29, of Georgetown, is charged with four counts of third-degree rape, endangering the welfare of a child and offensive touching. Police say an investigation conducted by troopers and members of the Child Advocacy Center revealed that Alvarado befriended a 14-year-old Georgetown girl over a 6-month period of time. According to police, during this period of time Alvarado allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with the teenager at his home located in the County Seat Gardens Mobile Home Park.

LEWISTON – Three area men have been arrested on multiple child sex abuse charges. Garfield County Sheriff Ben Keller said a Pomeroy father and son, Michael and Charlie Hopkins, were arrested late last week on charges of first degree incest, second degree rape of a child and second degree child molestation. They were being held in the Garfield County jail a $250,000 bonds. He said a third suspect, Delane Hopkins, was arrested on Monday in Asotin County and is also facing two counts of third degree child molestation and two counts of second degree incest related to the same alleged victim.

BALDWIN, Pa. — Baldwin police said a couple is accused of abusing their baby 10 weeks ago.According to investigators, Stephanie and Scott Faust were arrested Wednesday on charges of child abuse.Police said they have been investigating for two months, after the couple brought their 10-month-old child to Children’s Hospital. Officials from the hospital said they called police after the baby was brought in with several injuries.”The baby suffered a broken arm, several broken ribs and other types of lacerations to the body,” said Baldwin Police Chief Michael Scott.Scott said doctors didn’t believe the story the Fausts told them.

PORTLAND, OREGON – Police have called in homicide investigators after a woman turned up at a hospital with a dead child. “On Tuesday November 9, 2010 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the emergency room at Oregon Health Sciences University on the report of an adult female who walked into the hospital with a deceased infant,” Portland police said. “Officers arrived and, after speaking with hospital staff and the adult female, called for detectives from the Homicide Division and the Child Abuse Team to respond.

A Fresno man was taken into custody in connection with the death of his own 2-month-old daughter, it was announced Thursday. Jorge Hernandez, 20, was arrested for felony child abuse resulting in death. The investigation began Nov. 5 when staff at Madera’s Children’s Hospital called authorities about a possible child abuse case. The injuries to the 2-month-old girl was so severe, she had to be put on life support. She was taken off life support Wednesday night. Hours later, Hernandez was booked into jail.

Williamson, NC – Sara Dwiggins, a 24-year-old math teacher at South Creek Middle School in North Carolina has been arrested on charges of repeatedly having sex with a 14-year-old student. According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Dwiggins had sex with the boy on at least two occasions while she was a teacher and he was a student at Bear Grass School in Martin County. Investigators say the incidents allegedly occurred in May and June of this year, but declined to get into further detail about the allegations.

Berea, SC — Police have arrested 31-year-old Angel Gilliland and her common-law husband, 42-year-old Alberto Rodriquez-Carrera, and charged ‘em both with three counts of unlawful neglect of a child by a legal custodian after the pair left Gilliland’s three children padlocked inside a trailer home. Oh yeah, and the trailer caught on fire while the kiddos were trapped inside. According to authorities, Gilliland padlocked both the front and rear doors from the outside early Tuesday morning and left to take Rodriquez-Carrera to work. The fire, believed to have been caused by a pan left on the stove, broke out at about 9:00 a.m.

MINNEAPOLIS – A 13-year-old boy has been arrested and placed in juvie after being accused of forcing a 12-year-old girl into performing a sex act on him while on a school bus. Police say the two students were on their way home from Sheridan Global Arts and Communications School when the alleged assault happened. According to a police report, “a male student was sitting next to a female student with his penis out.” The boy then forced the girl to preform some kind of sex act. Al Pitt, the principal of the school, commented on the incident.

Muskogee, OK – According to police, 18-year-old Aaron Michael Laconsello broke into the home of Christopher and Stephanie Lane late Tuesday night, walked right past Christopher, asleep on the couch, and entered the room of the couple’s two young sons. For reasons unknown at this point, Laconsello then stabbed 4-year-old Dakota Lane approximately 36 times with a pair of household scissors. Awakened by the noise coming from her son’s bedroom, a very pregnant Stephanie ran into the room and tried to intervene…she, too, was stabbed several times. While Stephanie’s injuries were non-life threatening, Dakota did not survive the vicious attack.

NEW YORK — Amazon.com Inc. is no longer selling a self-published guide that offers advice to pedophiles. The book, which generated outrage on the Internet and threats to boycott the retailer, has been pulled from the site. It wasn’t immediately clear whether Amazon.com Inc. or the author withdrew it.

The initial availability of “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover’s Code of Conduct” called into question whether Amazon has any procedures — or even an obligation — to vet books before they are sold in its online stores.

A 72 year old Oak Ridge man is charged with rape and aggravated sexual battery against a child under the age of 13. George E. Moore was indicted last month. He is currently in the Anderson County Jail under a $100,000 bond. According to court documents, the abuse happened between November 1 and December 10, 2009. Moore faces two counts of child rape, and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

For the first time since the clerical child sex abuse scandal emerged the Pope has summoned the world’s cardinals to the Vatican. Pope Benedict XVI has called 203 cardinals, including Ireland’s Sean Brady, to the summit which will take place next week. Victims of pedophile abuse are skeptical of the latest move. They claim that most of the cardinals have poor histories when it comes to dealing with abuse cases.
