A 28-year-old woman and her two children have been found in Lebanon, Mo., in what police believe to be a murder-suicide, the Springfield News-Leader reported Friday. Police were called to the woman’s home after receiving a report about a possible suicide at 9:13pm local time Thursday. When officers arrived, they found the bodies of the woman, a girl aged five, and a five-month-old boy. The woman apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, said officers in Lebanon, which is about 54 miles (86 km) northeast of Springfield, Mo.

MORENCI, Mich. — Police in Michigan said Monday they were questioning the validity of a father’s account of what happened to his three young sons.

Police in Morenci, about 75 miles southwest of Detroit, are looking for 5-year-old Tanner, 7-year-old Alexander and 9-year-old Andrew Skelton. The boys were last seen the day before their father, John Skelton, tried to commit suicide.

During a press conference, Police Chief Larry Weeks said John Skelton told them he gave the boys to a woman he met online and had been having an online relationship with. Skelton told police he asked the woman, Joann Taylor, to take the boys to their mother.

But Weeks said investigators have failed to establish the reported relationship between John Skelton and Taylor, locate Taylor or find the van Taylor was reportedly driving.

But instead of enjoying time with friends and family and feasting on turkey, she was reported missing shortly after she arrived home. Today police found what they believe is her body, dumped “like garbage” in the woods.

MAGNOLIA, Del.- Delaware State Police say a suspect wanted for the murder of a 10-year-old Magnolia boy turned himself in early Sunday morning. Just after midnight, 18-year-old Obadiah D. Miller turned himself in to DSP Troop 3 and charged with first-degree murder and related weapons charges. He is being held without bail at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center. According to police, Miller allegedly shot and killed Lionel Butler on Nascar Lane at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Neighbors described Lionel as a typical, happy child.

Human rights violations in Iran were brought to light once again last week when a United Nations committee voted to censure the nation for widespread abuses, including what they deemed “pervasive gender inequality and violence against women.” Perhaps one of the most troubling and culturally ingrained of these abuses is the practice of child marriage – which not only plagues the Islamic Republic, but is all too common around the world. The humanitarian organization CARE estimates that “more than 60 million girls under the age of 18 are married, many to men twice their age or older.”

But the unemployed 49-year-old, of Bensham, Gateshead, is now starting an 18-year jail term after being locked up for two counts of rape and three indecent assaults, all on girls.

CHAMPLAIN, NY – On Thanksgiving Day, CBP officers at the Champlain, N.Y. port of entry received notification from Canada Border Services Agency that Kenneth Schneider, a 32-year-old United States citizen from Foley, Mo. was being deported from Canada and returned to the United States. Schneider entered Canada in July of 2008 as a visitor and has remained there without legal status until he was arrested by Canadian authorities on an immigration violation. Record checks by Canadian authorities revealed the possibility of an active warrant in the United States.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A 9-year-old Springfield girl is reported to be the victim of heinous crime. The young girl was allegedly raped by her grandmother’s boyfriend. Springfield Police Lt. Robert Moynihan reported the crime to 22News Sunday. Detectives assigned to the Special Investigations Unit arrested 45-year-old Eliu Ramos at a home on Alden Street.

Man Arrested for Death of 2-Yr Old Toddler

Lyon County Sheriff’s Officials are looking into the death of a two-year old Silver Springs boy. They say on November 23rd, they responded to an emergency call for a two-year-old that wasn’t breathing. The child had several injuries and was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital. He was later transported to Renown Medical Center by Care Flight, but died shortly after. 22-year-old Cody Wallace was arrested for the boy’s death. Deputies are calling this a child abuse/homicide, but are still investigating.

The spirit arrived in the form of a middle-school boy who stopped outside her Wichita home and began talking with her husband, Jack, about the sign posted in their front yard. That sign is about me, he told the couple. The experience resonated with Van Es because of the March death of a North Newton toddler, Vincent Hill. NEW YORK—A Queens mother was sentenced to 15 years in prison Tuesday, after she admitted to forcing her 3-year-old son into a tub of scalding hot water as punishment for soiling himself. Regina Cooper, 31, pleaded guilty last month to the heinous assault of her son, Barkim Owens, who suffered third-degree burns over 21 percent of his body as well as permanent scars in the disturbing January attack. According to prosecutors, the toddler screamed in pain and pleaded with his mother to stop after he plunged him in a tub of hot water. By the time she took him out, his skin started to fall off, prosecutors said.

HAWTHORNE ( KTLA) — A 10-year-old girl believed to have been sexually assaulted was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive at a Hawthorne residence Saturday morning. Authorities were called to a home in the 4800 block of West 132nd Street about 7:20 a.m.. said Sgt. Richard Pena of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “They found an unresponsive 10-year-old white female,” he said. “The girl was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.”

Toledo Man Arrested for Rapes/Attempted Abductions

Toledo police arrested a city man with a long criminal record Friday in connection with a recent string of rapes and attempted abductions that centered on South and East Toledo but spread fear throughout the city. Vincent Vernell Williams, 30, of 615 Cherry St. was arrested Friday night in the 600 block of Fassett Street in East Toledo after a car and foot chase and was charged with two counts of rape, police Chief Michael Navarre said.
