LONG BEACH– A former state mental hospital director found guilty of molesting his foster son for at least 10 years has been sentenced to 248 years in prison. Long Beach Superior Court Judge James B. Pierce sentenced 63-year-old Claude Foulk on Wednesday. He was convicted earlier this month 31 of 35 counts of sex crimes in Superior Court in Long Beach.

HOUSTON —Police and Crime Stoppers are seeking information on the whereabouts of a dangerous fugitive wanted on two counts of a rare charge — Super Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Luis Alonso Funes, 45, is accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl multiple times. The victim told Harris County child abuse investigators and forensic interviewers that Funes attacked her several times at a local residence.

INDIANAPOLIS – A 45-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into alleged child abuse that a family member says left the baby with cigarette burns on her feet. 24-Hour News 8 has learned the 6-month-old baby is in Riley Hospital for Children. Family members say the infant suffered a fractured skull and a fractured leg.

OLATHE, Kan. — A judge ruled Tuesday that there was enough evidence to try a DeSoto, Kan., woman on three charges that she starved her 6-year-old son.Attorneys for Rachel Perez said she was willing to plead guilty to charges of child abuse and child endangerment, but she would not plead guilty to a third charge of attempted murder. The judge indicated a willingness to accept the offer, but said Perez would have to give up rights that she wasn’t willing to cede.

Lincolnshire, IL —- An aspiring model sought to enhance her portfolio with some erotic girl-on-girl photos. Paula Ferdkoff, 19, convinced a 14-year-old to partner up with her to create some erotic photos at Digital Effects studio in Lincolnshire. All went well until the girl’s mother discovered the nude photos a month later and started to complain to Ferdkoff.

ONTARIO– The bodies of an Ontario woman and her son were found in their home just days before they were supposed to be evicted, authorities said. Officers responded to a home in the 900 block of East Rosewood Court around 8 p.m. Friday night after receiving a tip about a possible dead body. Two bodies, along with a hammer and knife, were found inside the residence.

SANTA ANA — A 33-year-old Cypress man — who prosecutors described as a “monster” — was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years to life for the brutal beating death of his 2-year-old niece. Michael David Balderas was given custody of little Jo Jade in 2005 when his sister was imprisoned in Texas.

FARMINGTON, MO. • Nearly four years after the crime, a former St. Francois County man accused of severely assaulting his infant son accepted on Friday a plea deal that carries a maximum sentence of 14 years. Steven Roloff, 23, appeared in a Farmington court Friday on the charges of second-degree assault and abuse of a child in connection with the March 2007 beating of Conner Zwierksi, now 4, at his Bonne Terre, Mo., residence. In his plea, called an Alford plea, Roloff did not admit guilt but conceded there was enough evidence to be convicted through a trial.
