NEW ORLEANS — A 42-year-old man has been found guilty of raping a 7-year-old girl. The jury found Terry Winston, 42, guilty of forcible rape. He faces life behind bars without possibility of parole. Christopher Bowman, a spokesman for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, said Winston raped the victim multiple times about a decade ago.

WAUKEGAN — A 34-year-old man was being held Wednesday on $250,000 bond after being arrested by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl under 10 years old. Police said the victim was playing in the neighborhood with other children April 6 when they went over to the suspect’s house.

LEOMINSTER — A Fitchburg man is facing charges he sexually assaulted four children, ages 3 to 10, in Leominster between July 2009 and February of this year. Leominster District Court Judge Mark Noonan ordered Luis Rodriguez, 43, held on $50,000 cash bail at a bail-review hearing Wednesday. Rodriguez, formerly of Leominster, was arrested Tuesday after a two-week investigation, according to Lt. Michael Goldman. He is charged with eight counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and one count of rape of a child with force.

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A woman who had just been involved in a domestic dispute loaded her four children into a minivan Tuesday night before letting one out and driving the rest of them into the Hudson River, firefighters said. The woman and three young children were killed. The 10-year-old boy who had been let out of the minivan ran to a nearby fire station and alerted firefighters, Chief Michael Vatter said. The boy said his mother had driven off a boat ramp and into the murky water of the river, which runs between New York and New Jersey.
