He is under arrest for attempted murder of his infant son. 26-year-old Dario Finkel originally of Marblehead, now of Salem, was arraigned in Salem District court on Wednesday. Jennifer Finkel, the child’s mother, told police that Dario stuffed a baby wipe into seven-week-old Michael Finkel’s mouth when the child would not stop crying.

A slumber party in Minnesota ended in tragedy when two eighth grade girls fulfilled a suicide pact, killing themselves and leaving behind suicide notes telling their families that they loved them. The bodies of best friends Haylee Fentress and Paige Moravetz, both 14, were discovered Saturday by Fentress’ mother, Tracy Morrison.

SUMMERFIELD — When Seath Tyler Jackson received a text message Sunday afternoon from a 15-year-old ex-girlfriend saying she wanted to rekindle their romance and that they should meet at a central Florida house, a female friend of Jackson’s sensed something wasn’t right. “I wouldn’t fall for that,” 16-year-old Brittnay Jones told Jackson, she recalled to The Associated Press. The 15-year-old Jackson ignored his friend’s advice and went Sunday to a house in Summerfield, about 65 miles northwest of Orlando.

Easton, Pennsylvania – Francisco Torres, a 40-year-old Easton man was jailed after his son pulled his own teeth out with a pair of pliers when Torres refused to get the boy dental care. According to the Easton Police Department, a witness called detectives in January after Torres 14-year-old son used a pair of pliers to pull two of his own teeth out. The self dentistry left behind shards of bone that caused even greater pain.

WESTMINSTER– Two married teachers have been arrested for allegedly having unlawful sex with a 17-year-old student. Charges were filed Wednesday against Daniel Alma Shepard, 62, and his wife Gay Davidson-Shepard, 59, for allegedly raping one of Daniel Shepard’s students at Westminster High between April and December 2009.

RADNOR — After telling an 11th-grade boy exactly what sexual acts he wanted to perform on him, the athletic director at Archbishop Carroll High School went to a Bridgeport ice cream shop for a tryst with the teenager, authorities said.
But instead of the teenage boy, Francis Murphy met up with several Montgomery County detectives who arrested him on the spot.

A 39-year-old Greensburg man who first came in contact with Curry’s daughter while posing as a 16-year-old boy on MySpace.com was sentenced in November 2008 to 10 years in prison for using a computer to entice the girl to engage in sexual activity.

Brenda Lynette Harding, 30, had been the former babysitter of Tristen Hagen and his two younger siblings last summer. As a friend of the family, she held a position of trust. That trust was broken when Harding began a sexual relationship with the boy starting on June 5th, and ending the day of his death.

BROWNSVILLE, N.Y.—Police are searching for the gunman who fatally shot a teenager inside a Brooklyn apartment building Sunday. Authorities released video of the shocking murder which happened in a fourth-floor hallway of an apartment on Lott Avenue in Brownsville, police said.

VALPARAISO, Ind. — A 17-year old girl will be tried as an adult after she and another teenager allegedly held a special needs boy against his will and sexually assaulted him. The prosecutor’s office filed four felony charges against 16-year-old April Kuchta including criminal confinement, sexual battery and intimidation in connection with the attack.

MONMOUTH — There is an almost overwhelming statistical probability that you know a child who has been sexually abused — and there are equally powerful odds you know an abuser. Looking at the statistics, officials from WIRC-CAA Victim Services said they felt the need to break the taboo of talking about child sexual abuse. Victim Services Director Diane Mayfield said that was one of the reasons they called their educational event Thursday at Bridgeway in Monmouth “Stop the Rape of Our Children.”
