BOSTON — Boston Public Schools Superintendent Carol R. Johnson said Friday night that the principal of King K-8 School in Dorchester will be placed on unpaid suspension for not following protocol and reporting indecent behavior by a teacher’s aide.On Monday, a 14-year-old boy’s mother said her son, who has autism, was assaulted by 33-year-old Hill at the Harbor School. Prosecutors said Hill was caught in the act and did not deny that he was sexually abusing the student, who does not speak.

A Minnesota father was arrested after allegedly punching his son in the face after the boy’s team lost a game in a youth basketball tournament, according to a report by myFOXtwincities.com. Police in Lakeville, Minn., about 25 miles outside Minneapolis, arrested 52-year-old Steven Wilson last weekend and charged him with fifth-degree domestic assault.

Police Searching for Man Who Beat Pregnant GF, Killed Fetus

ADELANTO, CA — The search is on for a man suspected of beating a pregnant woman and killing her 20-week old fetus. San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies found the woman unconscious after a reported domestic disturbance with her boyfriend, 23-year old Willie Davis Hines. The 24-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition with severe head injuries.

CA Judge Rejects Execution Plan

A judge on Friday threw out California’s new lethal-injection protocols, which have been six years in the making, because corrections officials failed to consider a one-drug execution method now in practice in other death penalty states. The action by Marin County Superior Court Judge Faye D’Opal sends the state back to square one in redrafting procedures for lethal-injection executions. The death penalty has been on hold for six years in California after a federal court ruling deemed the previously used three-drug method unconstitutional because it might inflict pain amounting to cruel and unusual punishment.

Man Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

LOS ANGELES — A local musician known for his work with several well known artists including Cake and Norah Jones has been arrested on child molestation charges.
Peter Ivan McNeal, 45, was arrested Tuesday for lewd acts upon a child under 10. McNeal, who works under the stage name Pete McNeal, has worked as a drummer, percussionist and vocalist with artists including Mike Doughty, Landon Pigg and Norah Jones, according to his MySpace page.

MI–Proposed “Erin’s Law”

Sens. Rebekah Warren and John Proos announced today they will be introducing legislation in the Michigan Senate to help prevent the sexual abuse of children. The bill would be called “Erin’s Law” and is named after Erin Merryn, a sexual abuse survivor from Illinois, whose advocacy led to the passage of a similar law in her home state. The measure would allow school boards to adopt and implement policies addressing child sexual abuse and would create a new Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children, made up of legislators, state officials and experts.

When a little boy reportedly fell off the deck of a house in Lincoln County in July 2009 and hit his head, his mother and her boyfriend were drunk, according to a report by a state child-protection worker. There was no food in the filthy house, but there were pill bottles, beer cans and needles lying around, and blood on the child’s bed.

Abuser Sentenced to 15-Years

SCOTTSDALE – A man who kept his 14-year-old daughter locked in a bathroom and deprived her of food as a form of punishment has been sentenced by a judge. Bass begged the judge for leniency, but ended up getting the maximum penalty. Scott Bass was sentenced to 15 years in prison and lifetime probation after pleading guilty to kidnapping and child abuse.

COLORADO—– A Colorado Springs children’s photographer was arrested for sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl, and making child porn. Glen Owen Godec, 46, had been under investigation for five months before being arrested. He was known to take professional photographs of middle school students and students of Jillian’s School of Dance.

Man Allegedly Beat His 3-YO Stepson In Groin–Required 12 Stitches

Minneapolis, MN– Timothy Chandler, a 39-year-old Minnesota man was jailed after he allegedly beat his 3-year-old stepson in the groin over potty training issues. According to police, an investigation was launched after a 3-year-old boy arrived at the hospital with injuries to his penis and scrotum that required 12 stitches.

Syracuse University Being Sued By Alleged Sex Abuse Victims

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Two men filed suit Tuesday against Syracuse University and head basketball coach Jim Boeheim for allegedly ignoring years of sexual abuse they say they suffered as children at the hands of an assistant coach. The suit comes a month after the men’s allegations against Bernie Fine were broadcast on television. Boeheim, a Hall of Fame coach, initially spoke out in his assistant’s defense, although he later voiced support for Fine’s eventual firing.

JEFFERSON, Ohio — An Ohio father has been charged with giving his children a potentially addictive pain medicine so he could submit their urine for his drug tests. Police said Lawrence E. Kirk Jr., 30, Conneaut, Ohio, had to submit to a urine test before his prescription for Oxycodone could be renewed in order to assure he was not using illegal drugs.
