Tennessee – Less than a day after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added suspected child molester John Lamb III to its Most Wanted list, Lamb was in custody at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center Thursday. At 1:13 p.m., the TBI tweeted: “Just getting word the newest entry on our Top 10 Most Wanted, John Lamb, is in custody in Rutherford County.” Lamb, from Kentucky, was wanted by the La Vergne Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for aggravated rape and incest, after a relative reportedly witnessed Lamb sexually assaulting a minor family member, according to the TBI. Officials said Lamb fled on foot.

ECTOR COUNTY, TX – An Odessa mother will be spending the next 50 years behind bars. That’s after Tonya Carroll pled guilty on Monday to three counts of injury to a child. Back in Dec. 2013, a local store clerk saw a woman making verbal threats to her child.

BURKE COUNTY, NC – A mother and father have been charged in the abuse of twin three-month-old boys in Burke County, deputies said Monday. Nicholas Brandon Clark, 20, and Brittany Nichole Hefner, 24, are both charged with felony child abuse. Officers responded to a report of an infant who wasn’t breathing at a home on Sunset Grill Street in Connelly Springs Sunday. First responders at the scene told police they performed CPR on a three-month-old boy before he was taken to Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

A couple have been jailed after their eight-month-old daughter was found with broken bones and covered in bruises. Parents Wayne and Abbie Jones inflicted the injuries on the infant during at least two incidents, leaving her with seven fractured ribs, two fractured arms and a fractured shoulder blade. The abuse was uncovered when police were called to the family home in Halesowen, West Midlands, in the early hours of February 12, 2014.

FORT MYERS, Florida– After watching Tammy Modlin stab the family dog to death, then doing the same to her three-year-old daughter, and then shooting her 16-year-old daughter to death, Patrick Sean Carlopoli then shot his girlfriend to death, according to an unredacted arrest report released Tuesday. Carlopoli was supposed to then turn the gun on himself, the report said. “At that point, Patrick said he shot his girlfriend, however, he could not go through with killing himself,” the report said. “Patrick then went outside and called 911 after dropping the firearm on the bed.” Carlopoli, 27, was arrested Sunday after contacting emergency dispatchers. He is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of felony animal cruelty.

A second Virginia Tech student has been arrested in relation to the murder of a 13-year-old girl who vanished from her home three days ago. Student David Eisenhauer, 18, was arrested and charged on Saturday night with the abduction and murder of Nicole Lovell. Police revealed today that another engineering student, Natalie Keepers, 19, has been arrested and charged with helping dispose of Nicole’s body. Nicole had disappeared from her home in the Lantern Ridge area of Blacksburg, Virginia, on Tuesday night, vanishing without her liver medication and with just a blanket and a bottle of water. Her body was found near Route 89 just over the North Carolina border, about 60 miles from where she was last seen. Eisenhauer knew Nicole before she disappeared, police revealed, saying that he ‘used this relationship to his advantage’ before allegedly abducting her.

At least 10,000 refugee children have vanished after arriving in Europe with many being forced into sex work and slavery, officials believe. Thousands of young migrants have been targeted by criminals and are now missing, according to the European Union’s law enforcement agency Europol. The news emerged as charity Save the Children estimated that around 26,000 children were forced to travel into Europe alone last year.

A 67-year-old Kettering man is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in his neighborhood. David R. Leiser was indicted today on two counts of rape involving a child younger than 10, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report. Leiser originally was arrested Jan. 21 on suspicion of gross sexual imposition and remains in the Montgomery County Jail on $250,000 bond, online jail records show.

A coroner has lambasted authorities for failing a four-month-old baby who died from horrific injuries at her father’s hands in 2011. Baby Ebony was left dead in her cot in Adelaide for a week after she died before her parents alerted Families South Australia. She had over 50 injuries, including 48 healing fractures and other recent injuries when she was found.

IDAHO – The parents of a 2-year-old toddler boy who disappeared in July from an Idaho campsite have been named suspects in the case, authorities said Monday. Lemhi County Sheriff Lynn Bowerman said Jessica Mitchell and DeOrr Kunz Sr. have been “less than truthful” in the disappearance of their son, who was last seen at a campsite near the Timber Creek Reservoir in Leodore where he was staying with his parents, great-grandfather and another adult.

A South Bay woman faces a murder charge after confessing that she drowned her adopted son in a bathtub in their house, police said. Tara McNeill Palajac allegedly killed the 12-year-old boy on Jan. 8 in a Conner Place residence. The 51-year-old Santa Clara woman, who has not yet entered a plea, initially reported that the child’s death was an accident, authorities said.

CLINTON COUNTY, Ohio – A former police chief in Clinton County was sentenced to life with parole for the rape of a child. According to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Larry Casey will be eligible for parole after 25 years. A jury convicted Casey, 48, on charges of rape of a child under 13, sexual battery, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and failure to register as a sex offender.
