LANCASTER, CA — A longtime American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) coach is behind bars, accused of sexually abusing underage boys in the Antelope Valley. Renoir Valenti, 50, has worked as a volunteer coach and referee for boys between 9 and 14 years old for more than 16 years, according to authorities. Los Angeles County Sheriff?s investigators believe Valenti used his position as a soccer coach as a method to meet and befriend children.

43-year-old, David R. Hang, is on trial after viciously murdering his 12-year-old step-daughter, Belinda Nguyen, by stabbing her over forty times with a small sword. According to the Washington Post, the murder occurred after Hang and Belinda’s mother went through a difficult divorce.

Joe Martinez, 19, is accused of stabbing his 17-year-old girlfriend’s father to death with a pocket knife after girlfriend told him her father was abusive. Martinez stabbed 45-year-old Jamie Meza Guzman 30 times while sleeping reports CBS as Guzman’s daughter did nothing to help.

High school teacher Brittni Colleps is accused of having affairs with five of her students. Colleps, a 27-year-old married mother of three, is accused of using text messages to pursue five 18-year-old students. There was a video shown in court that allegedly shows Colleps having group sex with four of the young men in her home.

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Michigan -A mother and her two children have been found stabbed to death in a Van Buren Township home. Local 4 has learned that police found the victims in a home on Anna Street when they went to the home at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday to notify the family that the victim’s husband, Michael Vanderlinden, had been killed in a crash on an Indiana freeway. When no one answered, police said they went in through an open door and found the 34-year-old mother, a 4-year-old son and a 7-year-old boy each stabbed in the chest. They were found separately in their bedrooms.

First-degree murder and prior child abuse charges have been filed against a 22-year-old Reno man in connection to the death of his girlfriend’s baby.Donald Jackson was charged Wednesday morning in a criminal complaint with the Aug. 8 killing of Jayden Marion, who was the 1-year-old son of Jackson’s live-in girlfriend.

DAVIE – A teacher at an alternative education school in Davie has been arrested and charged with two counts of child abuse. Davie police announced on Wednesday that they had charged 49-year old David Baier. Baier is an employee of the Alternative Education Foundation (AEF) school at 4650 SW 61st Avenue.

Penn State announced Wednesday that it will host a national child sex-abuse conference this fall, the latest in a series of initiatives designed to raise awareness of the issue and help the university recover from a devastating molestation scandal. The gathering scheduled for Oct. 29-30 in State College will feature academic and clinical experts on childhood molestation and trauma, as well as remarks by retired boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard and former kidnapping victim Elizabeth Smart, both of whom suffered sexual abuse.

RIO VISTA – A 49-year-old Rio Vista man is accused of sexually abusing two children at his wife’s “Lots of Tots” daycare business. Don Elliot, 49, was arrested Wednesday following a multi-agency investigation into the alleged abuse at the facility on the 200 block of Tahoe Drive. Elliot was booked on suspicion of lewd act upon a child, attempted lewd act upon a child and felony child abuse, according to the Solano County Sheriff’s Office. He was being held on $230,000 bail.

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan — A Canadian youth pastor, who is HIV-positive, has been arrested for allegedly trying to lure a teenage boy online for sex. Kris Gowdy, a youth pastor in Southern Ontario, was arrested for allegedly arranging to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex.

Florida woman Lawanda Lowery-Gale has been charged with eight counts of child neglect after receiving a DUI on her way to a nightclub with eight children in the car. As reported by The Gainsville Sun, Gale was found slurring her speech with bloodshot eyes after sideswiping another vehicle on the road.

CINCINNATI – A report released Wednesday paints a vivid picture of the shadowy world of sex trafficking in Ohio, from its recruiters and groomers to its customers and pimps. The report, released by the state Human Trafficking Commission and conducted over a three-year period, is based on interviews with 328 victims in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland and Toledo. Of those interviewed, 115 reported that they were forced into the trade when they were under 18, with 12 percent of them sold before they were even 12 years old. The vast majority of the girls forced into prostitution reported that they were recruited by women who were involved in the trade themselves or who at first acted like a friend, the report said.

BLANCHESTER, Ohio – A Blanchester man was arrested over the weekend after investigators said he raped a girl. John Beltzhoover was charged Saturday with one count of rape and taken to the Clinton County Jail, where deputies said he told them he worked as a maintenance man for Fleishman Property Management. Police also arrested 28-year-old Sheena Halm, who officers said knew about the sexual assault and failed to report it.
