LOUISVILLE, KY – A man is facing murder charges after his girlfriend’s child died. According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday at 1:10 p.m. a 911 call reported a baby had fallen off of a kitchen counter and was unconscious. When officers arrived at the home they began CPR on the 18-month-old and then airlifted her to Kosair Children’s Hospital.

Chris Denman, formerly employed at a Tulsa, Okla. megachurch with a 17,000 member congregation, was sentenced to 55 years in prison today after pleading guilty in a Tulsa courtroom to raping a 13-year-old girl at the church. Denman was a janitor at the Victory Christian Center in Tulsa. Two other girls and five other church employees are also embroiled in the sexual scandal at Victory Christian Center.

A Lafourche grand jury indicted two men in their 20s Friday on charges of aggravated rape of children, an assistant district attorney said. Zachary Mire, 25, of Thibodaux, and Drew LeBouef, 20, of Houma, were indicted on charges of aggravated rape and sexual battery on a child in Lafourche Parish, First Assistant District Attorney Kristine Russell said.

A survey of around 26,000 adults found three factors raised the risk for physical child abuse by 15 times. Healthcare professionals can help keep an eye out for these risks. “It appears that children from homes with parental addictions, parental unemployment and parental divorce are particularly vulnerable to abuse. Such knowledge will hopefully improve the targeting of screening for childhood physical abuse,” said the lead author.

Kimberly Lightsey agreed not to have any more children in return for avoiding five years in jail. Police traced a paedophile to his home after the indecent picture he took of a girl had a giveaway shop sign in the background. David Mellor, 62, didn’t spot he had included it when he photographed the underage girl, in his kitchen and posted the picture on the internet. But officers in Lincoln recognized the sign and identified the street and his home from the picture’s angle. The image was seen on a file-sharing website by a specialist officer with the Child Exploitation and Online Protection unit.

El Paso County, CO. – Amanda Rowles, a 27-year-old drama and choir teacher at Calhan High School has been jailed after she allegedly had sex with two male students. According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was launched last September after Calhan School administrators advised the Sheriff’s Office of a possible relationship between Rowles and a student.

Tampa Bay area man, Dwipin Thomas Maliackal, 24, posed as the father of two girls, 10 and 13, had sex with them, and then said he wanted to get the 10-year-old pregnant. “I would love to get her pregnant, if you’re okay with that,” Maliackal told an FBI agent.

Not only did he crash his car to kill her, but suffocated her by sitting on her face. Daniel Klinger from central Pennsylvania, 19, was driving recklessly at approximately 2:00am to scare and kill his potentially pregnant girlfriend, Samantha Heller, 17. After crashing his car, he sat on her face to suffocate her to death.

A vicious attack has sparked nationwide protests over women’s rights. A 23-year-old New Delhi student was beaten and raped with an iron rod to within inches of her life while on a bus.
