Health fears have been raised for thousands of boys who made contact with a prolific paedophile with HIV who groomed his victims online. Anthony Marsh, who has the virus, and Lee Davis used social networks such as Facebook and Bebo, as well as specialist gay websites, to befriend boys before sexually abusing them, South Yorkshire Police said. The pair have admitted a total of 55 sex offences against 10 boys. After grooming the boys online, salesman Marsh, and unemployed Davis would meet their victims and sexually abuse them.

Janice Rene Anthony, 20, was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Friday in Fort Worth, TX for killing her 3-year-old daughter. She pleaded guilty to choking and killing 3-year-old Paris Howard over the child’s potty training issues. On Sept 6, 2012 police arrived at the family’s home at the 5400 block of Enclave Circle to find Paris dead on the floor. Anthony told the police that the child had fallen down some stairs but evidence later revealed that Anthony was physically abusive towards her daughter.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s office has arrested a former Fayetteville middle school principal. David Ellis Edwards, 49, of Tobago Place is charged with two counts of second-degree forcible sex offense, two counts of sexual acts with a student, and five counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor. Judge Tal Baggett added Edwards is also facing crimes against nature charges.

QUINCY, Mass. — A couple accused of killing their 5-month-old daughter by giving her a bottle of formula with heroin in it were charged with manslaughter on Friday. Ryan Barry and Ashley Cyr, both of Quincy, just south of Boston, were arrested Friday. They pleaded not guilty and were ordered held on $200,000 cash bail.

The mysterious death of a Georgia teen has taken a bizarre twist with the revelation that an autopsy of his exhumed remains found his internal organs missing and his body stuffed with newspaper. The family of Kendrick Johnson, 17, of Valdosta, Ga., was “outraged” and “devastated” by the discovery and believes his death was a murder that is being covered up, a lawyer representing them said Thursday. Johnson, a three-sport athlete, was found dead on Jan. 11 in a rolled-up wrestling mat in his high school gym. State medical examiners concluded that he accidentally suffocated while trying to retrieve a sneaker.

(CNN) — A 2-year-old boy who was reportedly the son of Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson died Friday of injuries he suffered after allegedly being abused, police said. Sioux Falls, South Dakota, police said Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated battery of an infant and aggravated assault. If convicted on the charges, both felonies, Patterson could face up to 40 years in prison and an $80,000 fine. Prosecutors are considering filing additional charges against Patterson in light of the boy’s death, according to police.

Double child killer Jeremy McLaughlin will be almost 60 by the time he can apply for parole again. The 35-year-old teetered on the “brink” of becoming the first New Zealand murderer to be jailed with no hope of parole today. At the High Court in Christchurch, Crown prosecutor Brent Stanaway told Justice Graham Panckhurst that McLaughlin met the criteria for life in jail without parole.

BROCKTON – Every night for a year, Terry Jackson would pull a sheet over his victim’s head and rape her. Now, 299 charges of rape and sexual assault later, Jackson is going to prison. The Brockton man pleaded guilty to all 299 charges Monday after his attorney struck a plea deal with the state. Terry Jackson, 56, of 36 Montello St. Extension, Apt. 1, Brockton, was sentenced Monday by Judge Frank M. Gaziano to 40 to 50 years in state prison.

UPDATE: The true identity of ‘Baby Hope’ has finally been revealed 22 years after her abused and beaten body was found squashed into a cooler and dumped off a New York highway. The child was named today as Angelica Ramirez, which was discovered when police tracked down the girl’s mother after receiving a tip from a woman who believed she knew the older sister of ‘Baby Hope’. The sister told investigators she remembers traveling to Mexico with her father after leaving Angelica with her mother and then never seeing her again.

MESA, AZ — A 16-year-old mom is facing attempted homicide charges after her newborn child was allegedly thrown out of her family’s bathroom window in Mesa in an attempt to conceal her pregnancy, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said. The teen, whose name is not being released, was arrested Tuesday night and booked into jail on charges of attempted murder and child abuse.
