A man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend’s three-year daughter because he was jealous that she was getting more attention than him. Lylah Aaron suffered a fatal brain injury and three broken ribs after she was kicked, slapped, shaken and punched in the head by Delroy Catwell. Catwell had denied killing Lylah and blamed her injuries on the girl’s mother Precious Chibanda. But a jury at Sheffield Crown Court found him guilty of murder today after a two week trial. He will be sentenced tomorrow.

A girl with severe learning disabilities was plied with drugs until she ‘felt dead’ while her teenage pimp passed her around for sex at a party, the Old Bailey heard. The victim, who can only be referred to as A, was one of five under-age girls allegedly abused by a gang led by Zdeno ‘Skinny’ Mirga, 18, in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. She told a court how she was subjected to a string of abuses, including on one occasion being forced to perform sex acts on a dozen boys in a park while Mirga collected £20 a time.

A Colorado artist has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping an eight-year-old girl from her bedroom in Aurora. John Stanley Snorsky, 26, was arrested on Tuesday morning following a separate incident of felony theft. Following more than 200 tips, the Aurora Police Department arrived at probable cause to charge him with the kidnapping Friday. He has been charged with first and second degree burglary and second degree kidnapping and is being held on $500,000 bond, police said at a press conference today.

A soldier stationed overseas watched in horror as his pregnant wife was stabbed in her home while the two chatted on video. Rachel Poole, 31, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a man who was allegedly hiding in the home stabbed her multiple times in Texas on Wednesday. Poole was nine months pregnant at the time. Police say Corey Bernard Moss stabbed Poole from behind with a stainless steel knife, according to KFOX.

CORBIN, Ky – Corbin Police are actively searching for a man they say is a fugitive out of Tennessee. They say Stephen Eugene Beck, 40, is wanted for 16 counts of rape and 10 counts of exploitation with a minor. Corbin Police posted on their Facebook page they’ve received calls that a man matching Beck’s description has been seen around Baptist Health, which is in the southern part of the town near I-75. Police say he was possibly trying to get medical attention under the name ‘Jeremy Clark.’ But he was released from the hospital before police arrived.

In an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil McGraw scheduled to air Tuesday and Wednesday, Knight describes a moment when Castro trapped her in a room and tied her up with an orange extension cord. “I was tied up like a fish,” she said, “an ornament on the wall.” An excerpt released by the “Dr. Phil” syndicated talk show Monday shows Knight sitting cross-legged on a couch and drawing a U-shape in the air with one finger as she describes how Castro hung her by her feet, neck and arms.

Police say that over the course of five years, Daniel Leija repeatedly raped two young girls, and videotaped his attacks. When police searched Leija’s belongings, they found over 100 videotapes documenting his alleged crimes. Leija’s accusers were 11 and 14 years old when they finally found the courage to come forward to police. Police believe Leija fled to Mexico when he was accused in 2002.

(CNN) — Georgia police discovered a badly burned body of a 10-year-old girl Saturday in an apartment complex’s trash can — pointed out by her father, who was standing nearby. The grisly episode began with a 911 call around 3:40 a.m. Saturday by a man who said he wanted to commit suicide, the Gwinnett County Police Department said. While talking to dispatchers, the man indicated there was a dead body with him at the location — his young daughter, he explained, had drank some type of chemical and died.

ORLANDO, FL – A judge sentenced Sarah Adleta, a 29-year-old Florida mother, to 54 years in federal prison Monday for sexually abusing her children and producing pornography of the acts, reports the Orlando Sentinel. U.S. District Judge Roy B. Dalton Jr. said the case was among the most “horrific” he has seen, according to the paper. Prosecutors said Sarah Adleta and her former husband, 25-year-old former Marine officer Jonathan Adleta, made having sex with their two children a part of their “parenting plan,” the paper reports.

PHILADELPHIA — A North Carolina man was sentenced Thursday to 60 months in federal prison for distribution, receipt and possession of child pornography. The sentence resulted from an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Elijah Fogle, 22, of Charlotte, N.C., was also ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release.

Kaysville, Utah – Brianne Altice, a 34-year-old teacher at Davis High School, was jailed Monday after she repeatedly had sex with a 15-year-old student. According to police, an investigation was launched when the victim, now 17, came forward to report the relationship. The relationship allegedly began when the student was 15-years-old and continued until he was 16. The victim attended the same school and Altice was reportedly one of his teachers.

LAS VEGAS — The I-Team has learned a Las Vegas kindergarten teacher is behind bars. Clark County School District Police arrested Melvyn Sprowson Friday. Sources close to the investigation tell the I-Team a missing teen girl was found in Sprowson’s apartment. Sprowson works at Wengert Elementary School near Sahara Avenue and Nellis Boulevard.
