A mother has been accused of repeatedly raping her two children ten years ago when they were aged five and 11. The son and daughter of A.M. – whose name is not being revealed to protect the victims’ identity – from Portland, Oregon, turned herself in after her children went to police to give ‘detailed statements’ about rapes and sexual assaults they allegedly suffered at her hands. Murfreesboro Police Department arrested the 50-year-old after an eight-month investigation.

Bin Bin, a pupil at a primary school in Heyuan city in Guangdong province, was asked by his teacher why he seemed in pain every time he moved. The boy burst into tears, before admitting he did not want to go home as his stepmother would regularly tie him to a clothes rack so she could carry out savage beatings.

A crazed homeless teen who mercilessly beat a young girl and her father inside a California Walmart with a crowbar screamed that the child deserved the attack. Maria Garate, 18, walked into the San Jose store just before 11.00 a.m. Tuesday and bashed the girl in the head with the crowbar before her father intervened and was also attacked, authorities said. The young girl’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, store employees told KBCW, but Garate has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

A Florida mother has been found guilty after a jury ruled she was sane when she shot dead her two teenage children. After a day of closing arguments on Thursday, the jury returned their verdict on Julie Schenecker, a military wife who killed her 13-year-old son Beau and 16-year-old daughter Calyx in Tampa in 2011. Schenecker, 53, was found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder after prosecutors argued that she was sane at the time of the shootings.

A flood of sex abuse victims are expected to come forward in the wake of a new lawsuit filed against Michael Jackson, the MailOnline has learned. James Safechuck, 36, is suing the Jackson estate claiming he was abused by the King of Pop after the two appeared together in a 1988 Pepsi ad when he was aged 10. James claims the pop star went on to molest him for years up until the age of 14. He has added his name to a previous suit filed last year by 31-year-old Wade Robson, an Australian former-choreographer who claims Jackson sexually abused him at a young age.

HERTFORD, N.C. – Deputies in Perquimans County have charged six brothers and their parents in connection with the sexual abuse of a girl over the course of almost a decade. Perquimans County Sheriff Eric Tilley told WAVY-TV that the brothers were arrested May 6 and charged with crimes related to raping a 4-year-old girl until she was almost 15. The victim is now 16 years old, Tilley said. It was not immediately clear how the family knew the victim.

A teen mom in Florida was arrested last week for chocking her 7-month-old baby to the point of seizures. Staff at St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa alerted police after they noticed bruising on the neck of an infant named Danny, being monitored for seizures and sleep apnea. Police reviewed surveillance footage taken in the hospital and noticed several instances where Danny’s 19-year-old mother Violet Hinrichs squeezed him so hard he passed out.

An 18-year-old Arizona high school student has been indicted on nearly 30 felony counts for allegedly sexually assaulting a dozen girls over nearly five years. Charges against Tyler Kost, of San Tan Valley, include multiple counts of sexual assault with a minor, sexual abuse with a minor and sexual conduct with a minor. He also faces one count of child molestation. Pinal County Attorney Lando Voyles said the victims in the crimes alleged in the indictment issued Wednesday ranged from 12 to 17 years old. Voyles said the offenses occurred between October 2009 and April 2014.

Many youngsters are scared to reject the approach of strangers on social media because they fear they will become a target for abuse, a study suggests. It has led to calls for a new criminal offence of cyber bullying as concerns grow that the most vulnerable could be at risk of self-harm or suicide.

A high-profile Muslim charity leader has been convicted of sexually abusing three young girls in the 1970s and 1980s. Zafar Iqbal, chief executive of Southwark Muslim Women’s Association (SMWA) in South London, was found guilty of 25 counts of historic sex abuse against three women at Woolwich Crown Court last month.
