Eye witnesses say this mother threw her two children into traffic after having a fight with her husband, with the smaller one (only 8 months old) ultimately being run over, unable to be saved.

A Burns Flat woman jailed last year on three counts of producing child pornography has been sentenced to 27 years behind bars after she was convicted of making a video of her performing sex acts on a one-year-old. Laura Jean Shoulders, 46, was arrested in Burns Flat in December by several law enforcement agencies.

A four-day prostitution sting in Florida has led to the arrests of nearly 100 people, among them a former Orlando police officer. The 98 arrests on charges ranging from offering to commit lewd acts to aiding and abetting prostitution, child abuse and drug possession, took place over the Memorial Day weekend in Polk County. According to investigators, former Orlando police officer Michael Johnson, 44, was netted in the sting.

A babysitter has been jailed for 16 years for handing a three-year-old boy to a known paedophile who drugged and raped the child as he slept. Claire Semmens, 28, gave the little boy to Aaron Hughes, a sex offender who sedated the youngster before carrying out and filming two sex attacks. Hughes, who had a previous conviction for child rape, was also jailed for life today as a judge hit out at the pair’s ‘horrendous’ crimes.

A disc jockey who was part of the original Radio 1 line-up was yesterday charged with a string of sex attacks on 22 boys aged between nine and 16. Chris Denning, 73, is to be prosecuted over 41 offences including indecent assault and another serious sexual offence between 1967 and 1985. APPLETON, WI – An Appleton man who claimed his 3-year-old daughter initiated sexual contact will likely spend the next 12 years behind bars. Outagamie County prosecutors recommended a stronger sentence of 25 years in prison for the 39-year-old man. Assistant District Attorney Peter Hahn says the man blames the mother of the child and even the victim and needs to be “locked up for a long time.”

A North Carolina couple faces felony child abuse charges in the brutal beating of a 3-year-old boy, who doctors say is now fighting for his life. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested Shamika Reaves, 23, and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Corey McCree, earlier this week after the woman’s son was beaten and sexually assaulted in a motel room where they lived.

(Memphis) A Memphis police officer charged with molesting a child is out of jail on bond. Steven Feinberg paid $40,000 to get out of jail Saturday. He’s accused of sexually abusing a girl for the last five years. According to the police report, the Department of Children’s Services got an anonymous tip that Feinberg was sexually abusing this girl.

PORT HURON, MI – A newborn infant was left on a porch on 11th Street early Sunday morning and Port Huron Police are asking for your help in locating the missing mother. Police and EMS were contacted around 4:30 a.m. on May 25 after a neighbor found the baby wrapped in a bloody blanket. The infant was found freezing and taken to Port Huron Hospital for treatment.

A 30-year-old Southern California mother is facing murder charges after her three young daughters were found dead in their Torrance home, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Sheriff’s Deputies from Carson Station responded to the home after receiving a rescue call just after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. “When they arrived, they were met by family members who told the deputies that a mother had killed her children,” a sheriff’s statement said.

It’s a horribly sexist and insensitive thing to say, especially to someone who has been sexually assaulted. Yet, it’s a common response, regardless of how wrong it actually is. It is estimated that one in six males are victims of sexual assault. According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), 54% of incidents are not reported to police, so it could even more. Although most sexual assault victims are female, males are much less likely to come forward and seek help and support. Male survivors often feel responsible for their assault / abuse or that they should have been “stronger” and able to stop it. In our society we’re told that “boys don’t cry” and that boys should “man up.”
