A new charge of sexual battery has been added against Donald James Smith, who was indicted Tuesday in the death of 8-year-old Cherish Perrywinkle. The cause — strangulation — also was released. Smith, 56, also was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. The Jacksonville girl was abducted June 21 from a Walmart on Lem Turner Road and found dead the next day. READ MORE HERE
