T.J. White, 20, awarded the million-dollar settlement from Alaska Office of Child Services

An Alaskan abuse victim who was beaten with a shovel and left to sleep outside by his adoptive parents more than a decade ago has won a $1 million settlement from state social services. T.J White, 20, was awarded the sum on Friday following Alaska’s Office of Child Services decision to place him with Anchorage couple Patrick and Sherry Kelley in 2001 – despite repeated complaints from his immediate family about abuse. The Kelley’s were jailed in 2004 for 17 months for the treatment they dished out to T.J over three years, which included breaking his arm and keeping him outside for so long he had to endure maggots infesting open wounds. GOSHEN, Indiana — Elkhart County police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man accused of child molestation. Police are seeking Scott Edward Culver, 50. He is described as a white male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 165 pounds. According to a posting on the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, Culver was last known to live in Goshen. FBI agents from Houston are spearheading an international probe to determine how many students at elite private schools in nine countries fell victim to a teacher who authorities contend was a serial predator for more than four decades. The local agents went public with their investigation Tuesday, saying they may never know how many victims William James Vahey exploited during a global career that began in 1972 after he stopped registering for a molestation conviction in California. A thumb drive holds photos that show he had at least 90 victims since 2008 alone, according to the Houston FBI agents who are leading the ongoing global probe to find his victims as well as determine the extent of his crime. Tulsa Police Seek Most Wanted For Child Abuse

TULSA, Oklahoma -Tulsa Police are looking for two suspected child abusers at the top of their most wanted list. Police say Rosa Taylor and Tony Davis are both wanted on felony warrants with two counts for child abuse. The 35-year-old Taylor is described as a black female with brown eyes and black hair. Well-known murder suspect added to FBI’s most-wanted list

Nearly four decades ago, police say, a State Department Foreign Service officer named Bradford Bishop unleashed a series of vicious attacks inside his Bethesda home. His mother, his wife and his three young sons — all beaten to death with a small sledgehammer. While it was still dark, Bishop loaded the bodies into the family’s maroon Chevy station wagon, police say, drove 275 miles to a swampy and wooded part of North Carolina, dug a shallow grave and set the corpses on fire. Man wanted for breaking child’s leg

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC — Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man wanted for child abuse. Michael Anthony McClellan, 24, is wanted on charges of Children/Legal custodian, unlawful neglect of child or helpless person. “Officers were called to the Regional Medical Center around 10:45 a.m. March 25 because a two-year-old had been injured, Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. “The initial investigation indicated a two-year-old and four-year-old were jumping on a bed when the two-year-old was injured.” READ MORE HERE

Evenflo has recalled select 2011-2014 car seats and booster seats due to bad buckles. The company says these models use a harness crotch buckle, which can become lodge in place over time making it difficult to get the child out of the seat. Evenflo says it has received no injury reports in connection with the use of the buckle on the seats being recalled.

A girl aged nine has become the youngest victim of the NekNomination drinking craze (in the U.S. it has been called the 24-hour drinking challenge). Rhiannon Scully was hospitalized after downing a cocktail of vodka and whisky, egged on by her friends who had seen similar stunts on Facebook. She was found riding home ‘all over the place’ on her electric scooter and still in her school uniform by her horrified mother, who picked her up and called  an ambulance. Rhiannon later had to have her stomach pumped and was monitored overnight in hospital.
