Unlawful Flight To Avoid Confinement – Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Endangering The Welfare Of Children, Indecent Assault

On February 15, 1996, Lynn Owen Cozart was found guilty of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, endangering the welfare of children, and three counts of indecent assault in the Beaver County Court of Common Pleas, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. These charges stemmed from the discovery that Cozart had molested his three juvenile children from 1984 through 1994. Cozart failed to appear for his sentencing on April 8, 1996, and has been a fugitive since that time. A federal arrest warrant charging Cozart with unlawful flight to avoid confinement was issued in the Western District of Pennsylvania on March 22, 2002.  READ MORE HERE

LAUSD Substitute Charged with Sex Abuse on the Run

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Unified School District sex abuse scandal continues to grow, as new allegations surface involving a former substitute teacher. The Los Angeles Times reports that George Hernandez, 45, was investigated on three separate occasions for sexual misconduct involving young students. Hernandez was a frequent substitute teacher for five years in the LAUSD.  READ MORE HERE

14 Cases of Measles Reported Since Super Bowl

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Officials with the Indiana State Department of Health have confirmed another case of measles in Central Indiana Monday. The total number of confirmed cases has increased to 14. Health officials said the most recent case was reported on February 17 by the City of Noblesville. The current outbreak may have started with Super Bowl Village visitor. Two weeks ago the Indiana State Department of Health first identified 4 cases of measles including a man who visited Super Bowl Village the Friday before the big game.  READ MORE HERE

GRANT LAVELLE HUDSON, III

WANTED FOR: Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution – Child Molestation

Grant Lavelle Hudson, III, a convicted sex offender, is currently wanted in Santa Rosa, California, on a felony arrest warrant issued on October 28, 2003. Grant is charged with nine counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under fourteen years of age, two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child who was 14/15 years old, and two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under fourteen years of age by the use of force, violence, duress, menace, and threat of bodily harm. These charges stem from Hudson’s alleged sexual molestation of a young female family member which occurred over a period of approximately eight years. Hudson has also been charged with failure to register as a sex offender. A federal arrest warrant charging Hudson with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on March 31, 2006, in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, San Francisco, California. THOMAS EMIL SLIWINSKI

In 2003, Thomas Emil Sliwinski was charged with criminal endangerment for having sex without consent with his young stepdaughter. He pled guilty to this charge and the plea agreement required Sliwinski to attend sex offender treatment. He was also charged with tampering with physical evidence after it was learned that he had destroyed evidence and Sliwinski was convicted of this charge. ROGER ALAN GIESE

WANTED FOR: Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution – Lewd Acts With a Child And Penetration With Foreign Object (19 Counts)

Roger Alan Giese is wanted for his alleged involvement in sexual activity with a 13-year-old boy in Buena Park, California. In 1998, when Giese was a choir director, he met the victim and befriended his family. Giese was able to move into the victim’s home and the sex acts allegedly took place until 2002. Giese was arrested in 2002, but he was released on bond pending trial. From 2002 until 2007, Giese appeared in court as scheduled. However, Giese failed to appear for his pre-trial motions hearing on March 12, 2007, and the next day, he failed to appear for jury selection.

Giese was charged with lewd acts with a child and penetration with a foreign object by the Central Justice Center, County of Orange, State of California, and a state warrant was issued on March 12, 2007, for his arrest. A federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Central District of California, on March 16, 2007, after Giese was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. WANTED FOR: Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution – Sexual Abuse First Degree (14 Counts), Sodomy First Degree (13 Counts), Rape First Degree (One Count), Bail Jumping (One Count)

Giusseppe Pino LoPorto was indicted on April 13, 1998 by a Baldwin County, Alabama Grand Jury for sexual abuse, sodomy, and rape, and a state warrant was issued for his arrest. The crimes that occurred from approximately 1985 through 1995 involved a juvenile. LoPorto was arrested in Alabama in 1996 and released on bond. He fled in 1998, shortly before his trial was scheduled to begin in Alabama. On April 15, 1998, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama at Mobile, after LoPorto was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

On June 29, 2010, LoPorto was located and arrested in Holland. While awaiting the extradition process, LoPorto was released by a Judge pending the completion of the formal extradition process. This is the second instance where LoPorto was located and arrested in European territory and released pending formal extradition. (Previously, LoPorto was located and arrested on August 2, 2005, by the Italian National Police of Belluno. He was released by the Court and allowed to check in every three days pending the extradition process). LoPorto’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.

EDWARD CLAIRE REISCH

Edward Claire Reisch is wanted for allegedly sexually abusing a minor female relative who was at his home over the Thanksgiving holiday in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1999. On November 27, 1999, a local arrest warrant was issued for Reisch by the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City charging Reisch with child abuse, sexual assault, and sodomy. A federal arrest warrant charging Reisch with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on March 2, 2001.  READ MORE HERE

JEFFREY DEAN MCDANIEL

Jeffrey Dean McDaniel is wanted in Placer County, California, for his alleged repeated sexual contact with a minor female relative. The girl was thirteen years old at the time of the abuse. In September of 1998, McDaniel left the area with the girl and her whereabouts remained unknown until she was located in Mexico in September of 2000. According to the girl, McDaniel had traveled with her throughout California and Nevada before ending up in Mexico. McDaniel continued to sexually assault the girl, which resulted in a pregnancy. McDaniel’s whereabouts remain unknown. On February 28, 2001, an arrest warrant was issued for McDaniel after he was charged with child custody deprivation. A federal arrest warrant was issued in May of 2001, and McDaniel was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.  READ MORE HERE

Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution – Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Marion Taylor is wanted for his alleged molestation of a female victim when she was eight years old in Newark, New Jersey. A local arrest warrant was issued for Taylor on August 20, 2010, and he was charged with sexual assault as well as endangering the welfare of a child. A federal arrest warrant was issued on March 10, 2011, in the District of New Jersey, and Taylor was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. READ MORE HERE

UPDATE:  (2/3/12)– This video/case is now being INVESTIGATED by Sanilac County (MI) authorities!!!

This video was taken by a 17-year old teen who is legally this little boy’s “uncle.” He took the video knowingly to give to Child Protective Services so they could start an investigation on the abuse he says is continual against his nephew. Shockingly, CPS stated that the incident in this video is NOT child abuse due to the mother not hitting the child with a “closed fist.” The uncle then uploaded the video to YouTube out of desperation to plead to the public for their help.  What do you think? Is this child abuse?
