ORLANDO, Fla. — Police have accused a local man of shaking his 4-week-old son so badly that the child’s ribs broke, his skull cracked and he may have permanent brain damage.Investigators said it is the worst case of child abuse they’ve seen in decades.The child’s maternal grandmother, Ingris Viscaino, said the child is on a ventilator at Florida Hospital Orlando.
MYFOXNY.COM – The body of a missing eight-year-old boy from Borough Park, Brooklyn, was found Wednesday in two separate locations, according to the NYPD. A man seen in surveillance video taken on the day of the boy’s disappearance was arrested, said police. The boy’s remains were discovered inside a refrigerator in the third-floor attic of the suspect’s home in Kensington and in a dumpster in Greenwood Heights. Speaking during a news conference Wednesday, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly identified the man under arrest as maintenance supply clerk Levi Aron, 35. He was taken into custody inside his home in Kensington just before 3 a.m., according to police.

Cops said Aron, who works at the Empire Supply hardware store on McDonald Avenue in Kensington, allegedly suffocated the boy before chopping him up. Police said they also found three knives in a butcher block inside Aron’s apartment. Co-worker said Aron is divorced with no kids and acted completely normal at work yesterday.”I can’t believe this,” he said. “He was a strange guy, but he was here yesterday and he was fine after killing this little boy.” It was a tragic end to the “angelic” boy, who disappeared Monday afternoon after getting lost while walking alone for the first time from his Borough Park day camp and following a man down a busy street, sparking a massive search.

ORANGE CITY — A 4-week-old may die after his father, frustrated over the baby’s crying, threw him against a couch, then the boy landed on the floor. Ivan Charles, 23, was arrested today and charged with aggravated child abuse and child neglect, a charging affidavit showed. The child suffered eight fractured ribs, detachment and bleeding of his retinas, multiple skull fractures and bleeding from the brain. He also had a fractured right arm and right leg, the police arrest report states.

Madison police were close to requesting an Amber Alert on Tuesday for two young children found dead early Wednesday but held off in part because the children’s mother and other family members were in phone contact with the man accused of taking the children, police said Thursday.
ORLANDO, FL — Casey Anthony will be released from jail next Wednesday, a court spokeswoman announced Thursday. Judge Belvin Perry sentenced Anthony Thursday to four years in jail — one year for each of her four convictions of lying to authorities — but with credit for time served and good behavior, her release date was set for July 13.

Jury deliberations are now underway in the first-degree murder trial of Casey Anthony. Following several weeks of testimony, the 12 member jury will be taken into a deliberation room, where they will stay until a verdict is reached. Arizona executed a man Thursday for molesting and fatally bludgeoning a 9-year-old girl in a case that spread fear through Flagstaff and the rest of the state. Richard Lynn Bible, 49, received an injection at the state prison in Florence and died at 11:11 a.m. He was convicted of kidnapping, molesting and killing Jennifer Wilson of Yuma while she was on vacation with her family in Flagstaff in June 1988. She had spoken with her mother only moments before she disappeared.
A Roswell grandmother, Lorraine Grant, turned herself into Roswell Police yesterday, Monday, June 27, after charges of child abuse, including sexual battery, were leveled at her. The alleged abuse goes back to April when Grant visited California and agreed to bring her three-year-old granddaughter back to Roswell with her for several weeks. However, the child’s mother, Mariah Williams, told police that Grant refused to return the girl to her. In attempt to take back her child, Williams flew out to Atlanta last Friday, June 24.

A Gibson County man is in jail and facing charges after police say he kidnapped a young child and then dropped him from a two-story window at the Trenton Tower Apartment complex.Sean Vaughn, 21, is charged with aggravated rape of a child, aggravated sexual battery, especially aggravated kidnapping and reckless endangerment, according to Gibson County court documents. He will be back in court at 1:30 p.m. today.

Columbia, SC– Investigators in South Carolina charged a mother in her child’s from November 2010. Officers say the infant girl died from a lethal dose of illegally obtained morphine, that was in her mother’s breast milk. Deputies told the Associated Press the mother obtained the drugs illegally. Stephanie Greene, who is the mother, was charged on Friday. Detectives charged the 37 year-old with homicide by child abuse or neglect.

Bradley was initially charged with 471 offenses, but when he went to court in Georgetown on June 7th an amended superseding indictment was announced, which consolidated the charges to 24 counts – with Bradley admitting to raping or assaulting at least 86 children he treated and videotaping the attacks. Today, Superior Court Judge William Carpenter has found Bradley guilty on all counts. Sentencing is set for August 26.

Medical tests show a terminally ill infant had still been alive when her mother placed her in a plastic bag, doused it with gasoline, and then set the bag on fire, according to Thursday testimony in Washoe District Court that ended with the woman’s release from jail.
