GAITHERSBURG, Maryland — A Maryland mother has admitted to poisoning her 5-year-old son to death last year before setting her car on fire with the child inside. Media outlets report 35-year-old Narges Shafeirad pleaded guilty on Thursday to first-degree murder in the death of Daniel Dana. An autopsy revealed Daniel died of a Diphenhydramine overdose in June 2015 after prosecutors say his mother forced him to swallow medicine containing the common antihistamine. An alleged pedophile ‘grinned’ and ‘twitched’ as German detectives questioned him about the kidnapping, sexual abuse and murder of two young boys, a court has heard. The prosecutor told a court in Potsdam, near Berlin, how Silvio S, 33, had apparently practiced what he was going to do to his victims by using a children’s doll. Silvio S, a security guard, is accused of murdering four-year-old Mohammed and six-year-old Elias after kidnapping them off the streets. In dramatic scenes in court the prosecutor placed one of the dolls in front of the accused. It was about the same size as a three-year-old child and was one of eight similar dolls found at the suspect’s home.  READ MORE HERE

Deputies arrested a Salem pastor for raping a juvenile he met through his work at a local church, Marion County Sheriff’s Office officials said. Mauricio Aguilera-Garcia, 55, was arrested this week by detectives after a week long investigation, sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. TENNESSEE – The mother who allegedly stabbed four of her five young children to death has been charged with first-degree murder and child abuse and neglect, authorities said Saturday. Court documents say Shanynthia Gardner, 29, cut their throats open at her home in Memphis, Tennessee. Sheriff’s deputies found a large butchers knife with what appeared to be blood on it at the apartment were the killings took place. Gardner, of Memphis, was charged with four counts of first degree murder, aggravated child neglect and aggravated child abuse. Shelby County Sheriff Bill Oldham says the victims were a 4-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, a 2-year-old girl and a 6-month-old girl. REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio – A babysitter has been charged with murder after giving an 8-month-old baby “a lethal dose of Benadryl to put him to sleep,” police said. Authorities received a call on Friday, May 13 for an unresponsive baby, and upon arrival located 8-month-old Haddix Mulkey. He was transported to Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The child’s babysitter, Lori Conley, was arrested on Friday, June 3 and has been charged with murder and child endangering, a second-degree felony.
