New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says Pedro Hernandez has been arrested in the killing of Etan Patz, reports the Associated Press. Hernandez confessed to  strangling Etan Patz, the boy whose disappearance 33 years ago sparked the movement to put the faces of missing children on milk cartons. Hernandez told investigators he wrapped the 6-year-old’s body in a bag and put it in a box in Manhattan. But when he returned later, the box was no longer there.  READ MORE HERE

DEAD FETUS FOUND IN STRAWBERRY FIELD

CAMARILLO, CA — An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday on a newborn whose body was found dumped in a strawberry field in Ventura County. The unmistakable sound of gunfire stirred the neighbors early Tuesday. Moments later, there was a knock at the front door. They opened it to find three children from next door — at least one of them shot and wounded, authorities said. A man accused of beating his girlfriend’s 2-year-old boy to death because he wouldn’t eat his dinner has turned himself in, police announced Friday. Juan Garcia, 18, led Arizona police on a near three-month manhunt after fleeing his girlfriend’s Phoenix home where the boy, Jorge Zamora-Rogel, was pronounced dead after found thoroughly beaten. Ruling attempts to distinguish between individuals who see an image of child pornography online versus those who actively download and store such images, MSNBC reports.

In a controversial decision that is already sparking debate around the country, the New York Court of Appeals ruled on Tuesday that viewing child pornography online is not a crime. “The purposeful viewing of child pornography on the internet is now legal in New York,” Senior Judge Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick wrote in a majority decision for the court. A family struggles to put together the pieces of a brutal and bizarre murder. A 14-year-old Indianapolis girl will be facing preliminary murder charges after she repeatedly stabbed her 4-year-old cousin, Leon Thomas Ill, to death. ALBUQUERQUE- A little boy, who spent several days struggling to survive after he was thrown against a dresser , has died.  Police say his step-father Richard Gutierrez, 31, admitted to throwing the boy against a dresser because the child wet his pants.  Isaiah Gutierrez, 5, was brain dead for days.  Police have now confirmed that Isaiah had to be taken off life support.  READ MORE  HERE

This tragic mistake will haunt this father for ever. Dayvon Britten, 23, left his 7-month-old baby in his car all day during 90 degree weather while he was at a business meeting, the baby died. George Gibson, 43, from Newark, Ohio was arrested for having a sexual relationship with a young girl that began when she was only 8-years-old. Woman Allows The Rape Of Her 5-MONTH-OLD Daughter, Receives Two Life Sentences

Tessa Vanvlerah, 22, allowed Kenneth Kyle, a Californian college professor, to photograph, urinate on, rape and burn her 5-month-old daughter. Virginia Beach couple found guilty in boy’s death

Christy Lamour arrived at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center early the morning of April 4, 2011, with the limp, swollen body of her 5-year-old son in the back seat. Doctors rushed outside and tried for 45 minutes to revive Christian Lamour, but were never able to restart his heart. Lamour told doctors, police detectives and social workers she thought her son had come down with the flu or a stomach virus. PORT RICHEY – An infant who was seriously injured earlier this month when his mother held him under scalding hot water for several minutes has died. Emilio Jesus Bautista passed away Saturday morning at Tampa General Hospital. The baby was approximately nine weeks old.
