TEENS SHOT TODDLER IN FACE WHILE MOM WAS PUSHING HIM IN THE STROLLER

BRUNSWICK, GA — Police have arrested two teenagers suspected in the shooting death of a baby in a stroller and the wounding of the baby’s mother. Brunswick Police Chief Tobe Green said Friday that 17-year-old De’Marquis Elkins is charged with first-degree murder as an adult. The 14-year-old is also charged with murder, but he was not identified because he is a juvenile. The chief said police were still investigating the motive and searching for a weapon. The mother, Sherry West, said she was walking near her home Thursday morning with her baby, Antonio, when she was approached by two boys who demanded money. A baby-killer remains in jail after a judge denies him bond.  24-year-old Travis Fox of Springdale, Arkansas is accused of shaking to death two of his infant children during the past two years. According to KFSM, Fox admitted to drinking heavily both times the shaking incidents occurred and committing the crimes because the babies were “fussing.” READ MORE HERE

Ohio teen gets life for killing 3, wears ‘killer’ shirt to sentencing

CHARDON, Ohio — Wearing a T-shirt with “killer” scrawled across it, smirking and gesturing obscenely, a teenager was given three life sentences without parole Tuesday for opening fire last year in an Ohio high school cafeteria in a rampage that left three students dead and three others wounded. T.J. Lane, 18, had pleaded guilty last month to shooting at students in February 2012 at Chardon High School, east of Cleveland. Chicago Infant Shot 5 Times Dies

CHICAGO — A 6-month old girl became the latest innocent victim of Chicago gang violence when a gunman ambushed her father while he was changing her diaper along a South Side street and unloaded round after round into the two of them. Jonylah Watkins died at a hospital Tuesday after surgeons did what they could to repair the damage from the five bullets that tore through her body during Monday’s attack in Woodlawn. Man Killed His Own 15-Week-Old Daughter

Steven Deuman, of Peshawbestown, MI, was sentenced to life in prison after he orally raped his 3-month old daughter on a Chippewa/Ottawa Indian reservation in September of 2011. According to The Traverse City Record-Eagle, Deuman allegedly told police his daughter had fallen out of bed, but a federal autopsy report showed that the girl had died of asphyxiation. A boy who was the victim of apparent bullying died Sunday at a Philadelphia-area hospital after being taken off life support, his family said. Bailey O’Neill, who turned 12 on Saturday, had been in a medically-induced coma since January, when he was allegedly beaten by two classmates on the playground during recess at his school. The sixth-grader sustained a concussion and broken nose, and suffered subsequent seizures, forcing doctors to induce the coma.  READ MORE HERE

Kids stabbed by mother’s boyfriend

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A funeral for two El Paso County children stabbed to death in a murder-suicide last week will be held Friday. Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Jeff Kramer said  22-year-old Ethan Courrau stabbed 1-year-old Scarlett Gallagher and 3-year-old Ryan Willhite in a mobile home before stabbing himself, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported. DNA tests show SKULL found in the woods IS that of disabled girl murdered and dismembered by her stepmother in 2011

A skull found a year ago by hunters in a North Carolina forest has been confirmed to be that of a girl who was murdered by her stepmother, it was revealed today.  Hickory Police Chief Tom Adkins said Thursday that DNA tests show it was Zahra Baker. But he added that police are still unable to say how the 10-year-old girl died. Elisa Baker is serving up to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to a second-degree murder charge in connection to the killing and dismembering of her disabled stepdaughter. The girl was reported missing in October 2011 from her home in the western North Carolina town of Hickory. Parts of Zahra Baker’s remains were found in multiple sites around Hickory shortly after her reported disappearance. NEW CASTLE — The Friday death of a New Castle Correctional Facility inmate is being investigated as a homicide. Jeremiah K. Taylor, 37, of Ligonier in northern Indiana, died Friday morning at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. According to an Indiana State Police press release, Taylor was found unconscious at the bottom of a stairwell inside the prison about 11:05 p.m. Thursday. He was taken by ambulance to Henry County Hospital, then flown by medical helicopter to Indianapolis.
