Father charged with murder, child neglect after death of 6-week-old son

A Las Vegas man accused of beating his 6-week-old son to death has been arrested on murder and child neglect charges. Ahmad Moosa, 31, told detectives that he found his son, Damian Moosa, unresponsive at their home in the 3500 block of San Pascual Avenue on Saturday afternoon shortly after he changed the baby’s diaper, according to a Metro Police arrest report released Wednesday. WAYNE COUNTY, OH — The body of a missing 9-year-old girl was found inside of a trash dumpster Sunday morning, according to Wayne County police. Reann Marie Murphy was last seen on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. playing in an Akron mobile home park. Authorities searched the area and discovered her body in a trash dumpster near her home at 1:35 a.m. READ MORE HERE

Arapahoe High School Shooting Leaves 2 Injured, 1 Dead

At least two people were injured in a shooting at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colo. on Friday. One student was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to KDVR. The second student suffered a minor gunshot wound. At a 1:45 p.m. MST press conference, County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said the suspect, who was a student, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities “found his body in the internal portion of the school in a classroom,” Robinson said at a 3 p.m. press conference. Teen sentenced to 75 years for raping 11-year-old

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — A teenager who pleaded guilty to raping an 11-year-old girl as she walked home from school last year was sentenced to 75 years in the Montana State Prison. Ten years of Kaleb Kuebler’s sentence was suspended, but the 16-year-old also must register as a sex offender and complete treatment before he is eligible for parole, Judge Greg Pinski of Cascade County District Court said Wednesday. Tashawna Caldwell Stabbed Her 2-YO Son To Death As Others Hid In The House

A 26-year-old Texas woman stabbed her toddler son to death as another woman barricaded herself and a child in another room, police say. On Sunday, Tashawna Caldwell allegedly admitted to killing her boy, who would have celebrated his second birthday on Wednesday, according to the Express-News. Two Atascosa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call at Caldwell’s home in Poteet at 12:50 a.m. They found Caldwell hysterical, News 4 reports. OH mother and ex-boyfriend plead guilty to killing her ‘missing’ toddler Elaina 

An Ohio woman and her ex-boyfriend pleaded guilty today in the killing of her 18-month-old daughter, whose remains were found in a box in a garage three months after she was reported missing. Steven King II, the 24-year-old ex-boyfriend of mother Angela Steinfurth, told a Toledo judge that he had found the girl, Elaina Steinfurth, injured in her bedroom and that he tried to resuscitate her.  He said he then smothered her to death and put her in a box. Child Handcuffed with Dead Chicken Around His Neck

UNION COUNTY, NC -Officials in Union County say an employee with the Department of Social Services has been suspended without pay while she undergoes a criminal investigation after deputies say a foster child in her care was found handcuffed to a porch. According to county officials, Wanda Sue Larson, 57, is on investigatory suspension with no pay while Union County Deputies investigate the incident. Larson and 57-year-old Dorian Lee Harper were arrested Friday after a young boy was found handcuffed to the front porch of a home with a dead chicken tied around his neck. The bodies of two members of a family that went missing in 2010 have been identified. Patrick McStay, Joseph McStay’s father told CBS 8 in San Diego that authorities informed him two of the bodies found in shallow graves in the Mojave Desert on Monday were that of his son and his son’s wife, Summer. Two other bodies were found in the graves, but McStay did not give any indication as to whether they might be the McStays’ children, Joseph and Gianni. The McStays went missing on February 4, 2010, according to Ten News.
