Myls Dobson’s death declared a homicide

The death of an adorable 4-year-old boy callously tortured for weeks by his deranged caretaker has been ruled a homicide, officials said Thursday. An autopsy concluded little Myls Dobson died as a result of child abuse syndrome including dehydration, according to a spokeswoman at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Admitted child abuser Kryzie King, the transgendered gal pal of Dobson’s dad Okee Wade, 37, told investigators she punished the little boy for “being disrespectful” at her W. 49th St. apartment. School Stabbing Spree: 20 Hurt

A student flashing two knives went on a stabbing rampage through the classrooms and halls of a high school outside Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning, authorities said. At least 19 students and a security guard were hurt, some with life-threatening injuries. The suspect, a 16-year-old sophomore, was in custody and being questioned by police, authorities said. His motive was unclear, said Dan Stevens, a Westmoreland County emergency management spokesman. The first photo of the suspect emerged several hours after the mayhem. SPOKANE, Washington — An Airway Heights man has been arrested after police say he kidnapped a 2-year-old boy from Spokane early Wednesday morning. Richard Welch was arrested on a charge of first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape of a child. According to authorities, Welch admitted to detectives that he had been at State Line Showgirls earlier in the evening and then went to the VA Medical Center emergency room at 3 a.m. because he claimed he was having problems with migraines.  READ MORE HERE

Man sentenced to death for beating, raping and fatally strangling girlfriend’s 4-yo daughter while she was out of town

A jury in North Carolina handed down the death penalty Thursday to Jonathan Douglas Richardson, 25, who they convicted of murdering his girlfriend’s 4-year-old daughter.  During the trial, it was revealed that Richardson tortured little Teghan Skiba for 10 days while his girlfriend of six months was on a trip – physically and sexually abusing the girl as well as strangling her with a power chord.  Richardson brought the girl to Johnston Medical Center in July 2010, telling doctors she fell off her bed. But medics found signs of much more serious trauma, as her body was covered in bruises and bite marks. READ MORE HERE

Police say teen used handgun, shotgun, knife and machete to kill family

IDAHO –  A 14-year-old has been arrested on two counts of first-degree murder in Coeur d’Alene in the killing of his father and younger brother. The two were shot and killed Monday night in a home in the 1300 block of North First Street and police arrested the juvenile suspect in that shooting shortly after 9:30 p.m. Kootenai County Jail records show the teen was arrested at the same address as the shooting. Mauldin found guilty in child abuse case

MARTINSBURG -A Martinsburg man indicted on child abuse and neglect charges in connection with the death of his 3-year-old son was found guilty Friday on all counts following a four-day jury trial in Berkeley County Circuit Court. The jury of eight men and four women reached a verdict at about 1:40 p.m., finding James N. Mauldin, 22, guilty of death of a child by a parent, guardian or custodian by child abuse; child abuse causing serious bodily injury; malicious assault; two counts of gross child neglect creating a substantial risk of serious bodily injury; and one count of presenting false information regarding a child’s injuries. Murder charges have been filed against a Morgan County man after the weekend death of a 9-month-old baby in his care, an official with the local sheriff’s office said Tuesday. Donald Justin Lee, 21, was arrested Saturday night and charged with cruelty to children. Babysitter admits shaking 2-yo to death and leaving her to die on the floor ‘while she played a Facebook game for two hours’

A 36-year-old New Jersey woman plead guilty today to charges she killed a 2-year-old girl, nearly four years after the toddlers violent death. Sheila Polanski was babysitting little Madeline McHenry on July 5, 2011 when she shook the toddler to death because she was whining and Polanski was stressed out. The violent shaking caused Madeline to go unconscious, and it was revealed that Polanski didn’t call police until hours later. GRAND JURY HAS INDICTED THE PARENTS

A grand jury has indicted parents of an 11-year-old girl in West Virginia who were arrested after arranging for an abortion following a case of pregnancy after incest. West Virginia State Police say they consented to the abortion and the abortion clinic in question didn’t report the abortion to authorities. Michael and Amanda Adkins were arrested on charges of child neglect causing the risk of injury. While some licensed medical professionals were involved in getting information to authorities, WSAZ-TV indicates the abortion clinic in Charleston that did an abortion did not report the clear case of statutory rape. I was outraged and I just assumed kits were being tested,” said actress Mariska Hargitay about the thousands of rape kits in Detroit and across the country that have been left sitting in storage without being processed, allowing rapists to remain free to attack again. And they often do. Hargitay joined Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy to announce legislation that will soon be introduced to state lawmakers that is aimed at setting guidelines and deadlines for rape kits tests to be processed. Child abuse victim, 4, dies weeks after her stepfather was jailed for ‘using her like a battering ram’

A four-year-old girl who was beaten so severely by her stepfather that she was left with permanent brain damage has died.  Kilah Davenport passed away on Thursday three weeks before her 5th birthday from complications relating to the May 2012 attack by her stepfather, who fractured her skull by ramming her head through a wall after the toddler soiled herself.  Joshua Houser, from Indian Trail, North Carolina, was sentenced last month to between seven and ten years for the brutal attack on Kilah. MOTHER POISONED 17-MONTH OLD SON WHO HAD DOWNS SYNDROME

A Louisiana mother who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her infant son allegedly told police that she killed the baby, who had Down syndrome, as an act of mercy. Erika Wigstrom, 20, told police that sheinjected Germ-X hand sanitizer into her baby’s feeding tube because she didn’t want him to suffer anymore, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. She was arrested Tuesday after allegedly confessing to police. Her 17-month-old son, Lucas Ruiz, who was born with Down syndrome and a heart defect, died from alcohol poisoning Jan. 24. Father ‘kicked her so hard he left a boot imprint on her chest’

A former soldier accused of killing his five-year-old daughter kicked her so hard that he left a boot imprint on her chest, prosecutors have said at the opening of his murder trial. Naeem Williams, 34, appeared in court in Honolulu, Hawaii, near to where he was based at Wheeler Army Air Force Base, for the first day of the trial on Tuesday morning. He is accused of inflicting seven months of abuse on his daughter Talia – including making her eat her own feces and tying her to a bed before beating her with a belt – before killing her in 2005.
