The police, meanwhile, weren’t saying much about their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the children’s deaths and the conditions in the home near downtown Detroit, where Blair’s other two children had also been living. The charges stemmed from activity that police said happened between 2000 and 2008. David Oaks was sentenced Monday to 15 to 20 years in state prison. capture-20150314-205551Two North Carolina parents have been arrested after five children -ages 9 months to 13 years – were found living in the couple’s filthy home along with the decomposing body of their dead grandfather. Jeremy Daniel Dishner, 39, and Melissa Kay Lynn Poole, 25, were each charged with five counts of misdemeanor child abuse after police found trash, dirty clothes and raw sewage in the home. The Department of Social Services is now looking into the case.
