MICHIGAN – Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has announced charges against a mom they say gave birth to a baby boy and then put him inside a bag, causing his death. The Wayne County Prosecutor announced charges Friday against 25-year-old Kimberly Pappas in relation to a newborn boy found dead inside a desk drawer in March. The press release says Pappas gave birth to the boy in the bathroom of Ceva Logistics. MOTHER INSISTS TODDLER FOUND BEATEN TO DEATH DIED OF SPIDER BITE

Update: The boyfriend of the mother in question was a person of interest. Now it has been confirmed that he is in police custody in connection with the death of her child. His name has not been revealed, pending formal charges.

A Missouri woman has been charged with with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child after her 17-month-old daughter was found dead Sunday morning. Local police are saying it’s one of the worst cases of child abuse they’ve ever seen. The child’s mother, 21-year-old Taylor Lynn Fast, called 911 to say her daughter Layla had been bitten by a spider. However, when officers arrived at her home, it was blatantly apparent that the infant’s injuries couldn’t have been caused by an insect bite. Parents Wanted For Felony Child Abuse

MOUNDS, Oklahoma – Authorities in Creek County are looking for a couple wanted for child abuse and neglect after finding a malnourished infant in cardiac arrest. Mounds Police say Cody and Amanda Haynes are wanted for felony child abuse by injury and four counts of child neglect. Cody Haynes could be armed and dangerous, a news bulletin states. A nine-year-old girl is pregnant after suffering horrific sexual abuse at the hands of Isis militants in northern Iraq, aid workers report. The Yazidi girl has recently been released after nearly a year as a prisoner in the Islamic State, where women and young girls from the religious minority are known to be kept as ‘sex slaves’. Earlier this week, more than 200 Yazidi women, children and elderly were released near Kirkuk, northern Iraq after being taken by Isis militants last June. Kidnapped 2-yo girl found naked, injured, in shock

California – A 2-year-old girl who was found alive hours after getting abducted from a Los Angeles County car wash was discovered naked and in shock, witnesses said. The girl was found sitting alone next to a dumpster outside a Cudahy burger joint Thursday, just two hours after she disappeared while screaming for her mother at a Gardena car wash. Police initially said the girl was “okay.” They have since said she was injured during the attack. Police release new video of suspect’s car

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murdering his five-month-old daughter. Tomas Driukas was arrested after paramedics were called to his home in Birmingham in the early hours of Wednesday morning. His daughter was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with breathing difficulties. The infant, who is believed to be a twin, died later that day after suffering ‘several injuries’, police said. Detectives arrested the baby’s parents on suspicion of murder yesterday. NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Police said Friday that they’re trying to find a couple and five children who left a North Las Vegas home where a 3-year-old girl was found dead and a 4-month-old girl was so badly neglected by her 17-year-old mother that the child was hospitalized in critical condition. If Kellie Cherie Phillips, 38, and Jondrew Megil Lachaux, a 39-year-old ex-convict, aren’t in Nevada, they may be in the Los Angeles or Oakland, California, areas, North Las Vegas police Officer Aaron Patty said. Patty told reporters that Phillips and Lachaux were sought for questioning, and that no Amber Alert or arrest warrant had been issued. Queensland toddler Kyhesha-Lee Joughin was forced to use the room she was locked in as a toilet before dying in severe distress of internal injuries, a court has heard.Shocking allegations of the circumstances surrounding the three-year-old’s 2013 death were revealed on Wednesday as family friend who was charged with the toddlers manslaughter was granted bail. The bail hearing revealed that Kyhesha-Lee suffered blows to her stomach causing severe bowel damage- ultimately leading to her death.  Kyhesha-Lee was in the care of her father Matthew Lee Williamson and Christopher Arthur Neville Kent who have both been charged with manslaughter and child cruelty. Thirty-three years after the lifeless body of a 6-year-old California boy was found at a construction site, authorities have arrested a convicted sex offender for the child’s murder. Jeffrey Vargo was last seen alive on July 2, 1981. He left his home on his bike to go to a fireworks stand in the city of Anaheim. His parents found his bike abandoned in an alley a few hours after he was last seen. BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. —A little boy who was allegedly the victim of child abuse has died. 14-month-old Issac Arevalos was rushed to UNMH Wednesday after he sustained injures. VIRGINIA – Questions surrounding the death of 5-year-old Noah Thomas continue. After a search that began Sunday morning, the boy was found Thursday afternoon in a septic tank behind the family home on Highland Road in Dublin. Noah’s autopsy is complete.
