On Friday, a former casting agent from Minnesota pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy in Massachusetts. Matthew Feeney ran a Bloomington casting agency where he worked with children who wanted to be in movie and television roles. SHENANDOAH JUNCTION — A local man was arraigned Thursday for charges of child abuse and neglect resulting in death. Patrick William Yeager, 30, of an unfixed address, was arraigned in Jefferson County Magistrate Court for felony charges of child neglect resulting in death and child abuse resulting in injury. According to a criminal complaint, police were dispatched to a home in Shenandoah Junction in June 2016 for an unresponsive infant. The father — Yeager — told police he was holding his child in a rocking chair. Yeager said he allegedly blacked out and when he woke up, the chair and toys were upside down. READ MORE HERE

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA – A Lafitte man has been arrested in connection with the sexual abuse of two children, and detectives believe there could be more victims who have not come forward, according to a news release from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. Kenneth Leblanc, 62, was booked into the JPCC on one count each of aggravated Rape and sexual battery.  On Feb. 21 Personal Violence Detective Chris Vado received information about an aggravated rape that occurred approximately 24 years ago.  The 35-year-old female victim disclosed that she was sexually assaulted by Leblanc, and that the offenses were committed when she was between the ages of 4 and 13.  She told investigators that Leblanc touched her inappropriately and forced her to perform oral sex. She said the incidents occurred almost every day for nine years. The victim also told investigators that a relative of hers, who was 16 at the time, made disclosures in the past about being victimized by Leblanc on many occasions. READ MORE HERE

A Townsend woman was charged with four counts of felony Sexual Abuse of Children. Colleen Jade Nickerson is accused of texting topless photos of herself and two 14-year-old females at the request of another suspect, Nathan Zipperian from June of last year. The 22-year-old is also accused of bringing both females to Zipperian’s home. Once there prosecutors say Nickerson and Zipperian took one of the 14-year-old to a bedroom. READ MORE HERE

A judge fought back tears as he described how a married couple subjected two young girls to ‘wickedly cruel, chillingly heartless and utterly inhuman’ abuse. Michael Miszczak, 54, and his ex-wife Sandra Jones, 52, ‘brainwashed’ and repeatedly raped their extremely vulnerable victims and beat them with metal poles. They forced the children from before the age of eight to eat their own vomit, watch pornography and fight with each other while half-naked. Police said the abuse was ‘some of the most despicable crimes against children’ they had ever seen, while the prosecutor told Liverpool Crown Court, ‘It’s difficult to imagine a worse example of the rape of a child.’ READ MORE HERE

Washington — New charges have been filed in the case of an ex-Washington State Penitentiary corrections officer accused of child molestation and child rape. The Walla Walla Union-Bulletin reports the amended documents increase the seriousness of one charge filed against Benjamin G. Smith and add four new charges, for a total of seven. A prison spokeswoman says the 33-year-old Smith resigned after his arrest in January from the corrections officer job he held since 2008. READ MORE HERE

TEXAS – Parents are on trial for the death of their 7-month-old son, who allegedly weighed only ten pounds and suffered from meningitis and sepsis for weeks leading up to his death. The San Antonio Express-News reported that Qwalion Busby, 36, and Marquita Johnson, 33, are charged with injury to a child by omission for the December 2015 death of their son Naeem Busby. Prosecutors claimed the child succumbed to sepsis caused by a common ear infection. The pair is accused of not vaccinating the infant and treating him with essential oils and natural remedies. TEXAS – A man has been arrested for child abuse after graphic footage of him beating a seven-year-old child outside his car was reported to police. Kordarell Williams, 27, is reportedly the boyfriend of the young boy’s mother. He was seen lashing the child 62 times with a belt on his head, shoulders, and legs during the five minute long attack in northwest Houston, Texas. She left a heartbreaking letter about sexual assault

A 13-year-old Australian girl who took her own life penned a letter to her classmates detailing torment she suffered in school and a gang-rape carried out by bullies. “My name is Cassidy Trevan, and I was raped. If anyone every [sic] tries this on you trust me it’s worth fighting! Fight! If you don’t you’ll regret it for the rest of your life like I do. You can do it. Be careful. Be warned. Be safe,” the teen wrote. Cassidy’s mother, Linda, reportedly discovered the note in her late daughter’s laptop. Cassidy died by suicide in December 2015. She said she was pushed to write the letter to warn other people at the Melbourne, Australia, high school because “if they could do it to me they do it to other kids like me.” READ MORE HERE

MINNESOTA – A man working as a school bus attendant was charged with sexually molesting six girls, all between the ages of three to five. Harvey Theodore Kneifl, from Woodbury, Minnesota, worked as a bus attendant. His job involved him helping children into their seats. Many of the children he helped have special needs. After a 4-year-old complained to her parents about Kneifl rubbing her genitals, her father contacted police on February 4 to put in a criminal complaint. Suspect is half-brother of victims

COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old man who allegedly raped three children. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says Cody Haupt engaged in “sexual conduct by force” with two boys — ages 5 and 8 — and one girl, age 6. Investigators say Haupt is the half-brother of the victims. When detectives were alerted of the potential sexual abuse, they arrived at the Coventry Township residence where nine children were found living with their parents. KENTUCKY – A 40-year-old mother from Kentucky has been sentenced to 16 years in prison on charges of incest, sodomy and sexual abuse involving her young son. The Louisville resident, whom is not being named due to the nature of the crimes, was handed her sentence on Tuesday after accepting a plea deal. PENNSYLVANIA – Police say they have arrested a suspected child rapist in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and there are fears more victims may still be out there. One detective said that the human race hasn’t invented words yet to describe what they found in the trailer of 57-year-old William Charles Thomas. He lives in the Midway Village Trailer Park in Morrisville. Investigators released multiple photos of him dating back almost a decade in hopes of helping victims identify him. Police say Thomas is an independent contractor who is charged with the sexual assault of as many as six children, including a relative, over the last 40 years.
