7 shot in Douglas County including children; 5 dead

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Georgia – Seven people were shot in Douglas County Saturday afternoon. Five of those victims have now died. Deputies were called to Willow Tree Circle around 3 p.m. They found the shooting victims. Some of those shot are children. The youngest killed was seven years old. According to Lt. Glenn Daniel of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department, two children were wounded and taken to the hospital. Many neighbors were shocked this happened in the Amber Forest Subdivision. When neighbors returned home from running errands, they knew something was wrong. “When we came in, we kept hearing police car after police car. We saw helicopters. We said something is going on,” said neighbor Geraldine Price. Investigators made a gruesome discovery. Sheriff’s deputies say the ex-husband of one of the victims drove to the neighborhood and parked down the street. From there, we’re told he walked up to the home where he started shooting. Police have arrested a Seattle-area woman and her boyfriend after she tried to sell her 14-year-old daughter’s virginity for rent money. Police in Carnation, Washington arrested 46-year-old Mary Miles after she allegedly set up a plan for her daughter to have sex with her 36-year-old truck driver boyfriend whom she met online. Police also arrested the boyfriend, Bryan T. Murphy of Miami, Oklahoma. Washington State Police say that Miles “made arrangements to allow her boyfriend, a trucker she had met online, to have sex with her 14-year-old daughter… in exchange for the boyfriend assisting the defendant with rent money.” READ MORE HERE

5 Football Players Charged With Sexually Assaulting Special Needs Student With Broomstick

Five Washington high school football players have been charged with attempted sexual assault of a special needs student with a broom in a campus locker room. On Friday, the five boys, aged 14 and 15, were charged with attempted rape of the 17-year-old victim. The attack reportedly happened back in October and was reported to the police by the victim’s aunt after the athletic director of Juanita High School notified her of an “incident” between her nephew and members of the football team. A former soldier in Hawaii has been sentenced to life in prison after beating his five-year-old daughter to death in an attack so brutal she was left with knuckle imprints on her tiny chest. Naeem Williams, 35, and his daughter Talia Williams’s stepmother, Delilah Williams, assaulted the little girl almost daily during the seven months she lived with them at their military home in 2005. A Pennsylvania teenager has been accused of murdering a classmate and posing with the victim’s body for a “selfie,” according to news reports. Authorities say 16-year-old Maxwell Marion Morton of Jeannette, Pa., fatally shot 16-year-old Ryan Mangan in the face before taking a photo with Mangan’s body and uploading it to Snapchat, a smartphone application that allows users to send images that are deleted a few seconds after they’re received. Family wanted to teach him about stranger danger because he was “too nice” to people

MISSOURI – Four people, three of them members of the victim’s family including his mother, have been arrested for the kidnapping of a six-year-old boy. The suspects claim they were trying to teach the boy about not trusting strangers. The incident took place on Monday in Troy, Missouri, where Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies say the child was lured into a pickup truck by Nathan Firoved, 23, of Jefferson City, Missouri, while he was walking home from school. Once inside the truck, Firoved told him he would never ‘see his mommy again’, and he would be ‘nailed to the wall of a shed. ‘Milestone’ operation sees dozens of Asian suspects charged with rape, sexual assault and trafficking

Dozens of men were yesterday charged with a wide range of sex crimes against vulnerable girls after two separate police investigations. Following a ‘milestone’ operation by Northumbria Police, 20 suspects appeared in court to face charges including rape, sexual assault and sex trafficking. The alleged offences involved 12 victims, including one girl who was aged just 13, with officers vowing to continue their investigation into the abuse of vulnerable children. Willie Wilson is now facing a murder charge in connection with the death of his missing infant son, Delano Wilson, the Marion County prosecutor’s office says. The latest development comes about five months after the 6-week-old infant disappeared. A probable cause affidavit states that Willie Wilson called 911 at 12:02 p.m., Aug. 27, to report that he had just been robbed and that someone had taken his 6-week-old son.

When officers arrived, they found Wilson lying in an alley near Chase and Henry streets on Indianapolis’ Near Westside. Wilson told police that he had been walking with his son in his arms when a car pulled up and a man and woman got out and robbed him and took Delano, according to the affidavit. After learning that the child had possibly been abducted, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department called in the Indianapolis Fire Department, the FBI and a number of search and rescue personnel from neighboring counties, the affidavit states.  READ MORE HERE

3 charged with felony child abuse

GULFPORT, MS – Members of the Gulfport Police Narcotics Division encountered a shocking scene Tuesday while serving an arrest warrant at 800 Hardy Avenue. Now, two parents and a grandmother are facing charges of felony child abuse after police say they found two toddler aged children locked in dog kennels inside the home. Gulfport police spokesman Sgt. Damon McDaniel said Patrick Aaron Braddock, 35, Brittany Kay Braddock, 26, and Pamela Diane Davis, 60, are each charged with two counts of felony child abuse. READ MORE HERE

DETROIT, MI – A 14-year-old boy was arrested for stabbing his brother to death over a soft drink and a snack. The deadly dispute happened Monday night on Grandville on Detroit’s west side. Police say the 14-year-old fatally stabbed his 18-year-old brother over who would get the carbonated fruit punch and chips. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s office is contemplating criminal charges against the boy. OCALA, Florida – Police arrested a man after they said he tried to circumcise his 1-year-old nephew with a kitchen knife. Larry Floyd was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon Saturday. Police said Floyd was staying at the home where the child and his siblings were being babysat, when the babysitter saw Floyd leave a room where the baby was sleeping. Man charged with rape of child

Pennsylvania – Sayre Borough Police reported the arrest of 23-year-old Athens resident, Jason M. White, on Feb. 1, for several charges related to illegal sexual contact with a child. Police were called by a mother who stated that as she returned to a Sayre Borough residence she heard her child crying upstairs. She stated that she ran upstairs to find the child with his pants off and White was just pulling his pants up. She then grabbed the victim, who told the mother that “Jason” had hurt (the victim).
