The parents of an 8-year-old boy found hog-tied with duct tape and tied to a coffee table have been indicted on a series of charges.
Cuyahoga County, Ohio prosecutors say 37-year-old Andreia Huffman and her husband, 32-year-old Jason Dunikowski, are responsible for one of the worst cases of child abuse they have ever seen, Fox8News reports.

A married couple who both admitted guilt to parental incest were each sentenced today in Clark County District Court.
Judge James M. Bixler sentenced Frederick Vonseydewitz to eight to 20 years in prison and his wife, Mary Vonseydewitz, was sentenced to four to 20 years. They each had pleaded guilty to charges stemming from allegations of sexually abusing their children, a boy and a girl, when they were minors.

The INDIANA family of a 14-year-old boy allegedly abused by fellow student-athletes in a locker room and on a school bus is planning to sue an Indiana school district for $2.2 million.
The boy, who is not identified in court records because of his age, was the alleged victim of several instances of sexual abuse and harassment by varsity basketball players at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana.

INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was arrested Wednesday evening on two felony battery charges after she abused her children in a fit of rage, police said.
Officers said that Alisha Foster, 21, was arguing with the father of the children, Dustin Dodd, 21, over the phone when she became very upset, grabbed two kitchen knives and attacked her 2-year-old son, leaving him with contusions on his head and face and choke marks on his neck.

An Elgin man is scheduled to appear in court Thursday on charges he sexually abused three children younger than 13, authorities said.
Jose L. Jaramillo, 58, of the 300 block of North Jackson Street, faces seven counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one count each of child exploitation and predatory criminal sexual assault.

LISBON, Portugal — A new witness has come forward saying he saw Madeleine McCann only hours after she disappeared in 2007.
Carlos Moreira, 65, told detectives that on the morning of May 4, 2007, he saw a blond girl sitting in the back of a truck, wearing pajamas similar to those worn by Madeleine the night she vanished.

A teenage girl in Garland, fearing she would be harmed, waited nearly five months to accuse a teaching assistant of raping her in January, according to a court document.
Dennis Connor, 27, of Garland, was being held Wednesday at Dallas County jail, with bail set at $25,000, jail records showed. He is charged with aggravated sexual assault of child.

SPRINGFIELD – Police arrested a 23-year-old city man Tuesday night in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl in the city’s Forest Park neighborhood, police said.
Freddi Garcia of 14 Winnipeg St. was charged with a single count of rape of a child said, Sgt. John M. Delaney, aide to Police Commissioner William J. Fitchet.

WOBURN – A gymnastics coach has been convicted in the rape of one of his former students.
Steven Infante, of New Milford, Conn., was found guilty of rape of a child Wednesday by a jury in Middlesex Superior Court. Infante was scheduled to be sentenced late Wednesday.

Mark Owen Baldwin and Michelle Baldwin, parent’s of a 9 year old daughter with Cerebral Palsy and possibly Autism, were arraigned today in a Grand Rapids, Michigan Federal court on child exploitation charges. Mark Baldwin also faces state charges of criminal sexual conduct.
A federal grand jury indicted both of the Baldwin’s just over a week ago. Mark Baldwin faces a federal charge of possession of images of a minor child; each of the Baldwin’s face three federal charges of sexual exploitation of a child.

A woman accused of severely bruising a 1-year-old boy last year was arrested this week on child abuse charges.
Jessica Orlando, 23, told authorities she was washing her car July 4 at her boyfriend’s house in Holiday when the baby soiled his diaper, so she used a garden hose to clean off the boy — which is what caused his injuries, according to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report.

CENTREVILLE — The parents convicted of torture and child abuse in the death of their 16-year-old daughter in a fire while she was chained to her bed have requested state-paid attorneys to appeal their convictions.
Court documents filed in St. Joseph County Circuit Court show Anthony and Marsha Springer have made separate requests for appointment of attorneys to appeal their April 16 convictions for torture and child abuse.
